@dmohr7 Get your metronome out, and do sweeps non stop for 3 hours, doing it so slow at first that you can count the notes out loud. There's no way in hell that I wound up doing this shit overnight. It took years of daily practice.

Love the melodic ripping Doug. Reminds of the "blues jam tracks" vids. They have some cool clips...I think they need a metal player in their ranks. ;)

I just can't seem to get my lead playing to sound fluid...after 27 years of playing!! Still I've always been more of a rhythm player, than a shredder. My lead is pretty much pentatonic minor and majors with a bit of "make shit up" thrown in for weirdness. I must have missed the shredder bus when I was learning and got stuck on the rhythm train.

Umm, ibanez saber, it's my nepheew's, he's had it under his bed for a good 15 years. I put 2 emg 81's in it. The amp I'm playing through is some fender digital thing, I dunno. I just asked for some gain and started going for it. Hope that helps.
