  • if i didnt use a capo id still play the chords on the same frets correct?

  • Hey this was great! Do you think you could do the full song but instrumental version? That'd be great :)

  • This sounds pretty good, but if you use the picking pattern strings 5,3,4,2,5,3,4 I think it sounds more like the recording...just my opinion...check it out people.

  • great tips, took someof yours and mixed with some others I found, your lessons are very easy to follow I love 'em this is what I finished up with, I'd appreciate your comments if you have time :>)

  • @Wensleydayle - WOW YOUR RETARDED!!!!

  • Great video

  • great voice, thankyou so much for teaching me 20+ songs by now. much love

  • just wanted to throw this out there., if u dont want to be botherd by playing the high g tune your high e string to a g then u can just play it open the whole time because all u use it for is the high g not in this song

  • Very nice job. Actually, Landslide was not on the Rumors album, which is kind of ironic.

  • thank you sooooooo much i have been searching all day looking for an easy song for a begginer butbthere wasnt one until i found this one, so keep up the good work and keep posting more songs :D also check out shunga jung hes the bedt ive heard thanks again:)

  • love ur teaching i love this song tx ur a good teacher like a lot of ur stuff

  • If using the first picking pattern (542534), is there any reason to keep little finger on the high G or to use G5, since the 6th string isn't plucked at all?

  • this is a great lesson! the chords that you play at 3:40 seem different than the ones in the beginning. are they?

  • Thank you! This is a super easy way to learn this song. I'm just starting out playing, and I'm teaching myself. I was struggling with the picking pattern until I came along this. This definitely helped me. :)

  • This is the only legitimate tutorial for this song on the youtube. Those other tutorials for this song are farces!!! Thank you for your good ear and good work Goldhat3!!! Cheers!!! Oh and for the tone deaf MFers Listen first then work until you recreate the same sound with notes not empty talk. The Musicians job is to interpret a piece of music, not ripe off the original artist. Duh!!!

  • Your picking pattern is missing one of the rolling notes and therefore is lacking fullness.

  • Good lesson but im so confused about the picking pattern. Is it irrregular? 2,4,3,5 2,4,3,5 or is it different. (Numbers might be wrong)

  • @matoy77 He said it's 542534, so you pluck the 5th string, 4th string, 2nd string, 5th string, 3rd string, & 4th string again.

  • GREAT lesson....no complaints at all, simply brilliant

  • This is awesome - thanks for the lesson.

  • I just discovered your treasure trove of lessons.

    Thanks for all your efforts

  • I love the sound on your guitar, what brand is it?

  • In the bridge, for the 3rd chord you talk about "6th bass, dropping down one note"

What? I am a beginner and do not understand that, and cannot see where your

fingers are placed. Can you clarify? Thanks!

  • @Louk74 Were you able to figure this out?

  • G-5 ?? .... I don't think that's the correct name for that chord ..

  • Comment removed

  • What an inspiration! I've just started playing the guitar and this has given me a real goal; thank you.

  • THanks so much!!

  • great lesson, but i think it was probably 1976. definitely later than 1974. I was married at least a year when it came out and I got married in 1975.

  • It wasn't on Rumours. It was on Fleetwood Mac's eponymous album released in 1975

  • Thanks again Mark :-)

  • thank you. It's very helpful!

  • Great lesson.

  • Thank you for a wonderful guitar lesson. I love your technique. I just got my guitar in September 28th and was able to play along with you.

  • Great lesson - thanks for helping me learn such a beautiful song.

  • This is a really nice video/lesson. The way you explain it as you go through it is terrific. Thanks!

  • Does anyone have the tab for the solo? I can't find an accurate one anywhere on the net.

  • Fantastic lesson. Thanks for patiently explaining the picking pattern (calling out the order of the strings played is very helpful). Without a doubt the best lesson on Landslide on youtube. 5 stars my friend.

  • He looks like Don Vito!

    lol

  • thanks a lot!

  • Very nice lesson just hope I can play it as well as you. Thanks

  • LOOOOOOOOVE Fleetwood mac!!! Stevie Nicks is my all time favorite singer EVER!! Thanks for doing this song!!

  • I love your technique and the songs you're showing really help me cause they're the ones I love and want to learn. I was just curious what you'd recommend for fingerpicks cause the one's you're using seem to be suiting you just fine

  • Hi Goldhat,

I just want to say thank you. A big THANK YOU! I have learned a lot from your videos. The commentary and finger placement guidance make your videos very easy to follow. I really hope you continue to add more.

    Suzanne (from Canada)

  • This is definitely a song for ladies to sing. You should post your version after you learn it.

  • That was AMAZING!!!!! Thank you so much.

  • well done teacher!! very nice.

  • You are awesome! thanks for all your videos. I'm learning a lot

  • I learned to play this song by ear, and ended up deciding that it was played in C. What you show here sounds much better, telling me that I was wrong and must now re-learn this lovely song.

    Thanks for the homework!

  • Hi JTC, You were right, it is played in "C" meaning it uses the C chords. It is actually easier for many people to sing it in that key with no capo. With the capo on the third fret, it is still played with the C chord shapes, but the actual key is Eb.

  • VERY NICE! THANK YOU

  • I'm confused about the picking pattern - 543524 - what about the G on the 1st string? It doesn't get stroked at all!

  • You don't use the 1st string on the first pattern, only on the second pattern (5/1)42514.

  • Thanks, Mark, guess I didn't watch long enough. You have good taste in the songs you teach!!
