Dylan is probably the greatest songwriter in history or Lennon. Pretty hard to compare them, but Adam puts more emotion in his music. It is hard to compare they are all amazing, but I think Adam is definitely the best of this generation.
It's all a matter of opinion really about Dylan or Adam here. I personally prefer Adam as he is less heard of and writes music to write good music for the fun and enjoyment. Dylan wrote music and became HUGE I don't think Adam would want that. He would like to just impress his fans.

No, Im not tone deaf. My Dad is the biggest Dylan fan in the world but he also likes the counting crows. I just think Adam writes such epic lyrics an puts so much emotions in his stage performance. Dylan does have wonderful lyrics, no doubt. I ve seen him on stage in Frankfurt and he put emotions in the performance like a dead rock. Anyway a great concert. But I think Adam is different.
