I guess it depends on what you want to use it for.. so if you want to record with it then yeah you will need some software like logic (for a mac) or pro tools maybe (fror a PC). But if you just want to use it through monitors and stuff then you dont! ..hope that helped a bit?!

@MaddyandTim11 Thanks mate! Well i've played a cover of this song with a band on an electric guitar using the original chords, but i think they are just a bit awkward to play on a acoustic, especially if you want to hammer on more of the notes and stuff like that!
