Around 2000 or 2001, Century Theatres bought pretty much all of the Pacifics in Marin County. I think that marked the beginning of Pacific becoming a SoCal-only theater

i use too work there too. but now pacific theatres sucks. the one in lakewood... they might go under. cause its a old theatre and people likes going to new and clean theatres. like edwards, and amc.

pacific used to exist here in the north bay but ever since pacific theatres pulled out of everywhere except l.a. all the theatres in the north bay became owned by century theatres and now since century is owned by cinemark the north bay theatres are all cinemarks

I remembered seeing this before! They showed this a lot when I was little before my nearest theatre was open (operated by UltraStar, another local chain). I still go to the theatre that shows this recently in 2004, such a shame when Reading Cinemas took over that theatre.

Did they still show this since Pacific Theatres now only exists in L.A.?

@wlb93 Yes they do, but in Commerce CA it used to be Pacific Theatres, and Its Regency Theatres now since May or April of 2011 I believe. Regency Theatres is operated by the same company of the new one.

I did the vo for the Pacific Theaters trailer that came before this. Wish we could see it. Ended circa 1991. Was a clapperboard slamming together, then logo pieces flew together. VO ran on black leader before the visuals, so the drapes could be opening. Very classy and classic stuff! "WELCOME... to Pacific Theaters. We remind u that smoking is not permitted. In consideration of others, please refrain from talking during the presentation. Thank you!" Anyone remember it? Also customized for Dome.
