Well, technically she IS a rap artist. Some may refer it as RnB. They are closely similar. She isn't the BEST, in my opinion, and just because everyone else thinks she is good, doesn't mean I have to have the same mindset about it. Perhaps you should school yourself? Who knows.

However, I prefer old school rap artists, or "RnB" or "Hip Hop" as you may call it. They have much more meaning to their music, and it's not all flaunting studio gangster bullshit.
