Every time I ride this and go down the drop I expect to turn and pull up into a vertical loop, boomerang and corkscrew then I realize that the year is 2012 and not 1995.

@gole311 If you watch it closer. after it hits about the halfway point it speeds up some. When they run 2 cars, if the one in the station is on the way up the chain goes a bit slower till the one runnin the track hits a point on the track that triggers the motor to pick up the power.

The slowest lift... ever. Cedar Point's Magnum has a longer lift and takes about the same time to get to the top. Still, I can't complain because the ride is pretty exciting!

i went on this sometime this pass summer (i went on it with a cast on so we got the front seat cuhs if u go to customers service they will give u a slip to skip the lines on any ride but the sky rocket with 3 other ppl) and we got the front seat( was 12 years old) and i couldnt even see how fast it was and scary.. i was scared at first bt we stayed on like another 3 times xD it was so fun.. even tho i almost fell out cuhz im really skinny and my fat step mother was in it 2 (and it was loose )

@MeredithOD The first hill isn't the biggest one so it's really not bad. If you don't like going up because of heights just don't look down until your going down the hill. It's a good ride.

@MeredithOD You know those poles on the left catwalk of the hill? My first time going up I saw the 2nd pole up, thought I was at the top, only to have it pass by and be only halfway up. But if you close your eyes, it's fine especially because the rest of it is AWESOME

I went here yesterday. It was great, because there were hardly any crowds, and it was a really sunny day. The longest line was for this ride, and it wasn't even 20 minutes long.

All the hype about this ride is pretty much false. The first to drops are okay at best, and after that it just beats the crap out of you. The only cool part is the big curve at the bottom of the second hill where you are going 85mph. Then you just get beat up til its over in like 5 seconds. Skyrocket is much better. Along with how smooth it is, the airtime is excellent and the launch is sheer awesomeness. I would say the phantom is a 4/10 and the skyrocket is a 8.5/10

@RCT3Mitchell It's not so much rough as it is aggressive. It's not painful or anything. It's all personal preference, though. Some people hate Phoenix because it "throws you around so much", and that's the furthest thing from a rough ride.
