@landonstraus well its still close $1k well for me everything i got is mainly from a yard sale my yamaha receiver $45yardsale my kenwood amp $25yardsale then i got me an EQ from the trash dump and still works then my subs $150ebay pair then my cadence speakers $100ebay 45+25+100+free+150=320
CHILD PLAY!!! .....my system will eat your system lunch........... I Have 5 Dunlavy Audio Labs SC-IVa Speakers , JL AUDIO Twin Gotham Subs ,1 CLASS'E CT-5300,1 CLASS'E CT-SSP ...... WHEN I HEAR YOUR SYSTEM ALL I HEAR IS GOOD MORNING KMART SHOPERS!!!
@Scottclawson Never heard of any of those so whatever you say. Not like this is a super high end stereo. Its not supposed to be. Those gotham subs are pretty sick though :P
@landonstraus I have a denon AVR-887 amp and it's really nice I am using mine with Infinity Speakers I am using mine in 7.1 and the Subwoofer is a Polk Audio.
I do plan to get rid of the old CRT HDTV soon but I don't got the money to buy another flat screen.
Your speakers can't pick up the frequencies and your receiver can't put out enough power to move those 8 inches. Bass I love you is not meant for this system.
@americaneagle791 Dumbass, Denon's are boss when it comes to home audio. You can't hear the bass seeing as how the audio was recorded through camera and not all frequencies are picked up by digi cam recorders. Get your facts straight. Even the cheaper Denon's usually push no less than 55 watts x 7 nomimal. Stop hating on someone elses stuff.
@crazykidcapa First off, I'm not a 'dumbass'. Denon is a great brand, I will agree with you there. They are great for clarity and quality and great at decoding. But, when I think of Denon receivers, the first thing that comes to my mind is NOT power. If you want true power, you don't buy a cheap home theater receiver, you get dedicated amplifiers for each channel. (1 for mains, 1 for sides, 1 for surrounds and 1 for center) 75 watts PER channel (AVR-588) is NOT powerful. Face it...
@crazykidcapa Even the best companies bump up the numbers on the back of the receiver to make it look more powerful than it already is. I guarantee that that amp isn't doing more than 55 watts PER channel.
I wasn't 'hating' on his 'system' either. I was simply pointing out facts, so how about YOU get your fucking facts straight.
One more thing, if that's you in the video on your channel, then your opinion doesn't matte here, my friend.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@americaneagle791 Did I say anything about more than 55 watts? No, I said 55 watts nominal. That's not peak. Peak wattage is what companies usually boast, whereas Denon usually boasts only nominal. Bass I love you is a song, meant for anything that can play music. And Denon receivers aren't meant to boast amplifier specs buddy. So, my point was that you are indeed bashing his system. First off, the subs in the corner probably have built in amplifiers. So why are you whining about them.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@americaneagle791 And yeah, that's me in the video. It's a video that was recorded in 2005. So what's wrong with it? A 15 year old riding bike. Big deal. So anyone who rides a bicycle can't have an opinion on anything else? Lol. Get your facts straight. And before telling me about my opinion, make sure your opinion isn't redundant. Your comment literally said "your speakers can't pick up the frequencies". The subs can, as home audio subwoofers usually come with built in amps. Usually.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@americaneagle791 Your original comment should've been something more along the lines of, "Hey, nice set up, bet you can't wait to get some amplifiers to push them subs the way they should be". That sentence would've gotten your point across, the speakers not getting enough power, while also being courteous enough to give props for the decent system setup. And unless you have some FI BTL's pushing 4k watts nominal in your crib, you don't know shit about power. And yes, you buy the receiver
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@americaneagle791 You don't buy a 4 thousand dollar receiver that pushes 100 pluss watts per channel, that's still not amazing power. You get amps and get custom built speakers and subwoofers. You let the receiver handle output to your amplifiers, since Denon usually has HD, and very nice clarity. You then set the gain on your amplifiers accordingly. That's how you power a system. Anyone who buys the best receiver on the market is a true audiophile wannabe, and since thats you, your opinion
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@americaneagle791 I bet your the same type of dipshit who says "I only buy ALPINE head units for my car". They push 22 watts nominal x 4, which is less than most lesser-priced unit's, but I'm a REAL audiophile". No dipshit, you get w/e receiver or head-unit you want, and let amplifiers power your speakers. My head-unit doesn't power a single speaker. I have the dual 7710, nothing special really, but the rest is kicker amps for my 6x9 x 4 setup and indoor components. I let my two 2006 rockford
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@americaneagle791 Fosgate T4001BD's power the FI BTL's, and that's that. I don't give a fuck what head unit you have. You want power, you get amplifiers, not head units. Same goes for home audio. Get some receivers that have 7 channels, run each channel into speaker level input adapters, unless the amplifier has it built in, and that's where you get power. So buddy, until you get off the "My receiver is better than yours" kick, your system is shitter than most people out there. Gtfo
Cameronsshow / are you dull?? watch the other vidos hes got his own system and if you would listen in the begining he said ppl have been asking about my dads system
dont kid yourself about them athenas in the corner . them puppy's are very capable i have a pair and cant power them properly with my Yamaha RXV-757 need more power:O)
Dude that is killer. My dad has like, 5 systems lol, and I only got 2. My mom has one, my bro has one, mysister has one and thier one and we have one in the living room. XD
Those Energy RC-10 are very nice kid. Unfortunately (for you) those Streem "towers" are white van speakers. Put the Energy's up front and take a sledge hammer to the Streems. $10 says you'll see a bag of sand at their base.
The RCs are indeed great. The streems are made of 1"MDF and the woofers have cast frames with magnets bigger then my CVs. They also use a peerless tweeter. There is alot of mixed reviews on the streems, But either way they are made pretty damn well and sound great and havent killed the amp yet. LOL no sand at the base.
Yo man, it's always good to feeeel your music, not hear it. You see how you have that sub in the corner of your dads living room? I bet that sub just taps your chest. The JL Audio goes through you and will make your vision bounce from vibration. Save some money and I bet your dad will pay the other half. It's worth it.
