Why the fuck would anyone complain about this being the Super Sonic music? So what if it's the Sonic 4 theme. This rendition of it is full of energy. It's catchy as hell.

@MrZiofthesky If you listen closely in the Super Sonic transformation cutscene before the battle of the Time Eater you can hear the music right after they transform.
I like this song, but I always felt they should've used an instrumental version of Endless Possibility for the Super Sonic theme. And that's only because I feel that song could mostly be associated with that particular version of Sonic (after all, the whole game was essentially about saving the world by restoring the Chaos Emeralds' power and, by extension, reverting the Werehog form back to Super Sonic's form).
On that note, I'm excited for Episode 2 of Sonic 4~
I saw a comment in another video about Sega "trolling modern fans" with the Super Sonic theme, so I came to this video to hear it. Darn it all, they STILL got me! My eyes got wide during the "Live and Learn" intro, then the real music played and I felt like a fool.

The music has been totally remixed also and SEGA only fucked up on the 15th anniversary but they sure as hell didn't fuck up on the 10th and 20th anniversaries.

@Eyeolus Yeah.. I remember grinding down the Green Hill cavern & getting chased by a giant Chopper in the olden days. Oh, & do you remember the time when the Gun truck had buzz saws, or actually fighting Metal Sonic in CD? Epic. Hell, I remember the first time playing Sky Sanctuary Zone back as a kid - the 3D graphics were amazing, I won't forget playing as 2 different Sonic styles too in Heroes!
Generations is a full rehash of the old games, not at all changed or updated.

Incase you had forgotten, Generations is supposed to be a game that celebrates Sonic's past games (whether they were good or bad) be picking the most Iconic levels of the past & completely revamping them to be fresh & new, while still being nostalgic & have elements that were in the past games too.
I can't say anyhing about the 3DS version since I haven't even played it yet.
@Eyeolus & Celebrating how the series had rose again. There is a reason why the tagline "still unstoppable after 20 years" has been used. Sonic rose & fell in the gap between the Mega Drive Era & the end of the Saturn era, & then once again rose with SA, but quickly fell harshly in '06. He would have ended there, but games like the Advance & Rush series & the Unleashed Day Stage formula pushed him all the way up to Generations.
@HyperShan3 What groove? You think releasing just borderline "good" games means he's come back? Sonic will become notable once he starts breaking sales records and creating experiences comparable to what Mario/Zelda did (and other major IPs) by scoring GOTY nominations/victories.

It's also funny you say Mario "runs in circles" yet his series continues to get consistently good Metacritic/GameRankins review averages and sales over Sonic's games. =P

The music has been totally remixed also and SEGA only fucked up on the 15th anniversary but they sure as hell didn't fuck up on the 10th and 20th anniversaries.

@Eyeolus Yeah.. I remember grinding down the Green Hill cavern & getting chased by a giant Chopper in the olden days. Oh, & do you remember the time when the Gun truck had buzz saws, or actually fighting Metal Sonic in CD? Epic. Hell, I remember the first time playing Sky Sanctuary Zone back as a kid - the 3D graphics were amazing, I won't forget playing as 2 different Sonic styles too in Heroes!
Generations is a full rehash of the old games, not at all changed or updated.

Incase you had forgotten, Generations is supposed to be a game that celebrates Sonic's past games (whether they were good or bad) be picking the most Iconic levels of the past & completely revamping them to be fresh & new, while still being nostalgic & have elements that were in the past games too.
I can't say anyhing about the 3DS version since I haven't even played it yet.

@Eyeolus & Celebrating how the series had rose again. There is a reason why the tagline "still unstoppable after 20 years" has been used. Sonic rose & fell in the gap between the Mega Drive Era & the end of the Saturn era, & then once again rose with SA, but quickly fell harshly in '06. He would have ended there, but games like the Advance & Rush series & the Unleashed Day Stage formula pushed him all the way up to Generations.
Sonic came a long way to get his groove back.

@Piposaru025 The obvious solution is to not release an unfinished game and release trailers/hype as buildup for it. Else Unleashed with it's beautiful cutscenes, cinematics, and flawed, but still good day gameplay would have been a far better purchase.
In any case, Sonic isn't relevant and has little place against the REAL AAA titles people come to expect will be good. Those days have ended since the Genesis era, boo hoo.

When SEGA decided to do the Sonic for Sonic, everyone started to complain. Rather than come up with more day stages, they threw in a sloppy, button mashing platforming break which can't even apply proper shadowing, LOL. Colors only worked by having glorified power-ups like SMG did. That entire game could really do without most of the gimmicky wisps. And there is no excuse for 06 at all. None. They released an unfinished game and knew it. They robbed their fans. Period.

Sonic 4 was nothing like the fans wanted, Sega themselves hyped it up and made it seem like we'd get a title similar to the Genesis era games when the sad truth came up and it was nothing but a Sonic Rush HD with boost pads everywhere and horrible physics.
It's also funny you say Mario "runs in circles" yet his series continues to get consistently good Metacritic/GameRankins review averages and sales over Sonic's games. =P

Now, going back to Sonic, SEGA recently announced Sonic 4-2 and they said they listen to the fans and put a new graphic engine, new physics engine, Tails playable, etc...But still, "fans" are bashing the game while it's not even out yet.

Btw, both SMG games hold a 97/100 metacritic rating, so story is very clearly irrelevant. The worst thing done to Sonic was giving some form of a story to the 3D games. The 2D ones don't require it, so neither should the consoles. But nope.

There is nothing to be surprised of cause Sonic 4 is a low budget digital title and there won't be much effort made like a retail version. But you can believe what you want.
