The metronome in the beginning is part of the backing track. The symphonic part that starts at 1.37 was so good that I tolerated the metronome. It plays a little faster than the original album version which is what I was going for. I had to speed it up a bit for the intro.

I hate it when effects are slathered on like sonic mayonnaise, but I like what you did with them here. I don't believe you overdid it.

This was, imho, elegantly played, all the little emotional and tonal nuances beautifully delivered. You should be proud.

Personally, I think you could have eased up on the phaser. The beauty of the song and the tuning is that it needs no effects, just maybe a little slapback for good measure.

On the playing side, my only crit is that you need to lighten up a little.

As far as your playing, my only crit is that you could have been a little less metronomic. Play it from the soul, play it loose.
