The F-117 was shot down due to limitations for metric-band RCS caused by the aircraft's small size, as well as operational stupidity. Due to the much larger size of its surfaces, the B-2 does not have the same issues against metric-band radar. The B-2 has in turn been succeeded in terms of stealth by the F/A-22 Raptor, which also is less vulnerable to metric-band threats.

@aviomaster: The F-117 wasn't invisible, it was outdated at the time already. The F-117 in Serbia flown slow & deep, with Luck you can hit everything, no matter if you can see it, or not. By the Way, the F-117 wasn't seen by ONE Radar, it was seen by 8 Radar's. With 8 Radars in different positions you can track nearly everything. But on the Radar-Screen they've only seen a little Point and fired. By the Way, they couldn't kill the Crew, that's the important thing, not the old F-117.
