I first heard of the Spiders when I bought an album by an American hardcore band from the late 80's called Pagan Babies that had a cover of one of their songs. Never knew anything else about them till I started learning some stuff about the Aussie scene. Some excellent work.
I was blown by this song. I told my record place guy that this was the strongest song I had heard in ages, and he disagreed! I couldn't believe it then, and I still can't. Fuckin awesome song!!!
Holy shit man....I'm looking at this 7 inch vinyl in my hand right now. At 15 in 85 - this was the most kick-arse record I had - it's 25 years later and fuck-all has changed. Met Mick Blood back in 1999 at the Amplifier Bar in Perth and he was just as I'd hop he'd be - A totally friendly legend who genuinely appreciated my love and knowledge of the Spiders. An elder statesman of rock and 100% gentleman!!!
Awesome guys, do a come back we'll play with you. Pete from GALLEY SLAVES.

only us guys falling off the metal wagon in the 80s can relate to this kind of energetic and powerful rock'n'roll music.
