Thank you so much for the Kruthi "Nee Gathi" in Thodi Ragam beautifully sung by Carnatic Musical Violin Legendary Exponent, Vidhwan Lalgudi Sri G Jayaraman ji and Vidhushi Lalgudi sow.Vijayalakshmi ji with their lovely style. Jai Sri Ram.
Once someone described Lalgudi as 6-in-one person - a Violinist, vocalist, composer, teacher, a student and of course a legend. I have been a fan of Lalgudi for over 40+ years. I also was fortunate to play Tambura for him once.
I once met Lalgudi's niece and in that household learning music from vocal is a must before playing it on an instrument. So no surprise that he sings so well.
I thought that the Pancharatna Krithis were Jagadanandakaraka in Naattai, Dudukugala in Gaula, Saaadinchene in Arabhi, Kanakana Ruchira in Varaali, and Endaro Mahanubhavulu in Shree. What's a Lalgudi Pancharatna Krithi?
There are several pancharatna krithis composed by Thyagaraja. Pancharatna means five gems. The five that you had mentioned are called Ganakaraga Pancharatna. There is also the Lalgudi pancharatna, the Kovur pancharatna and Kaveri pancharatna. Songs like O Ranga sayee (Khambhodi) Juta
That I also belong to Lalgudi makes me proud of this Sage of Music, who could be venerated as the Fourth Sangeetha Trimurthy. Let the Younger Generation keep up the rich traditions.
The fourth generation disciple of Saint Tyagaraja brings to us along with his daughter, a prestine, memorable rendition of this thodi masterpiece of the saint. The video is to cherished forver. We are lucky we have it.
The video is well taken, I think theres a lot of mixing with different places different parts of the day along with intruments..may be a commercial kinda?
