  • The great Paul Linden was my advisor/mentor/professor all through college. He played for Sean and knowing that I'm a guitarist and guitar enthusiast, turned me on to the amazing playing of Mr. Costello. So sad he's no longer with us - the brightest lights always burn out too early.

  • R.I.P. my talented young friend and thank you for the great music

  • I've been listening to Mr. Costello for several years. This is my favorite of his songs. It's absolutely brilliant. His tone on his goldtop is beyond beautiful, and I don't think that anyone has ever played with more emotion.

  • Wow

  • This music is an absolute source for me. So sad.

  • Best cover of this song I've ever heard. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think the solo at the end (which is awesome, by the way) is deliberately directed at a noisy guy in the crowd.

  • Inspired.

  • so great. one of the few who could get into that zone. like stevie or jimi . they became one powerful force when they got it going.you cant learn it. and few can get there. this guy was special !!!

  • I have listend with great intent to many guitar players, he was one of the greatest ever...EVER

  • A favourite of mine sung by Sean

  • Just great, I'm sad he's no longer with us.

  • @EZIOTHEMASTER We all are.

  • I learned of his talent and his death today. Rest in Peace.

  • I miss you so much, Sean! RIP! Lord, please, take care of him!

  • Beautiful version of this great song. I followed his career for a number of years. I was first interested in him from an interview in, I think, "Blues Revue." He was deeply respectful of other blues musicians: wise beyond his years. His loss is one that really haunts me. I was about to write that he was on his way to being one of the all-time greats. But that's not right: he was one of the all-time greats. It's just sad that we had too little of his great work.

  • Zarkoon, My son told me about this incredible talent a couple of years ago. I am so sad to hear about his passing. He, I think, is truly what blues and this music is about. RIP Sean.

  • This breaks my heart every time..........

  • Never heard of him, click on this clip, newest biggest fan...and evidently he's gone. sigh. a great great cover.

  • Check it out at 5.30; it tears me apart! R.I.P. Sean. We Love and miss you!

  • last time I saw him he bought us 3 pithers of beer and I miss him alot a real great person who took care of his friends R.I.P.

  • Brother, I have just heard about you and it is so sad that I can not see you live.. You had something most people can never achieve.. Sincere. Dave D.. London Ontario,,

  • an angel

  • Man--he was connected to the spirits. Such a shame.

  • Sean, your are a legend who never sold out. You inspire me daily just from having lived. I consider you my brother. RIP brother!!!

  • May the blessings of love be upon you

May its peace abide with you

May its essence illuminate your heart

    Now and forever more . . . .

    - Sufi Blessing

  • rest in peace Sean.

  • Rest in Peace Sean. We will all miss you. It was too soon.

  • RIP Sean.

  • so sad to see all that talent now extinguished.

    sorely missed. RIP Sean

  • You're right witlessandtitless! It could be amazing! It's pretty hard to make nice covers of Bob Dylan's songs, but not for Sean Costello! Wonderful version of this tune!

  • its a shame bob doesn't employ this fella on his tours!

  • Im glad hes using a Les paul...strats have sustain of a banjo!

  • If he hasn't written a hit by now, its not likly its gonna happen, 'deal or no deal'. There's a lot of musicians out there like Costello; talented/nowhere. The song makes an artist.

  • Blues on a Les Paul...cool. The reason no ones heard of him is teh same old song and dance... no hit song.

  • Sean recently got a new record deal so maybe he'll have a hit album.

  • agreed i stumbled across this guy the other month and since have religiously watched everyone of these living room videos every day since. why he hasnt got more exposure is beyond me

  • Beyond me too, but I guess it takes more time than I would like it to take. Sean's been working hard out on the road and did a tour of Europe in the past year. I will be putting up more video of Sean - need time to review the tapes. Glad you enjoy what's up currently!

  • this kid can sing and play.he should be more known by now.

  • i love this rendition
