I think most people miss the fact of how well this guy metal worked this quarter out. it surprised me to see nitrostan being used but when I saw him paint over the moulding glue on the door it made it clear he is working in a shop whos motto is "time is money" and quality is gauged by quanity

you know how to paint a car fast? but a bucket of paint on the bonet,roof,and trunk, and put a stick of dynamite in each one light the 3 fuses AND GET THE HECK OUT OF THERE!! when they explode,if you have luck and the car willl catch fire,after it burns out the car will be a nice matte black color...(do this in a welll venilated area,interior will probably melt and burn) :D

@huwbertoo 2 doors, Gti... There is nothing that says either or, but gti's are only 2 door, and golfs can have ether 2 or 4, but usually 4.... there is no way we can tell from looking at it, soo im going with an educated guess that the 2 doors is a gti.

@huwbertoo Gti's only have a different skirt if it is a 20th or a 337, 20ths, were the 2003 model and 337 were the 2002 model. mk4 golf/gtis were made from 99.5 to 2005. And you may be thinking of the front vailence, or the lip off the front, they came with the 20th. but just a regular GTI and a regular golf you cant tell the difference by just looking at it

@Pookatube because a toilet plunger only does so much. For big dents it may work, but when dealing with ridges in body panels and creases it won't do crap. That's why you have certain tools for this stuff.

@thlin You can paint outside on a slab, if you do it early in the morning "when the dew is still on the ground" just watch the blow up and make sure you wipe the car down good. Its not the best means by far but you can still get a half way decent job. Ive done equipment like that with the old siphons and the HVLP would be even better at it.

I am not able to run a 220V outlet for a 60 gallon air compressor in the garage. Is it still possible to get a relativly decent paint job with an airless HVLP sprayer??

You don't need a HUGE tank a 40-50 gal will do. Do you have a Dryer in the house>, maybe you can just run an extension wire to the garage :)

@ohyousee1 you need at absolute minimum a 10cfm(cubic feet per minute) at about 60psi or 30+ gallon compressor. most home compressors are far under that and you will be waiting on the compressor to fill up leaving dry spots in the paint where you waited, also should have a water/oil seperator, and if possible some type of down draft ventilation system
