According to the World Bank, Iran's economy grew by 2.2% last year. Not spectacular but ours (US) shrunk by over 3% and we're not even under sanctions like Iran.

Iran is not building nuclear weapons so it is in compliance with the NPT. Sanctions have done little to affect Iran's economy. After all, Iran is off most of the world's financial grid. According to the World Bank, Iran's economy grew by 2.2% last year. Not spectacular but ours (US) shrunk by over 3% and we're not even under sanctions like Iran.

Please also look up the presidency of Ronald Reagan, the Iran-Contra affair, and the like. Descriptions of which are available in fine history books near you. Also, you can find information about this in news articles from years back and of course government files. Or just google the damn thing.
