Sneakers became much better without Kelli (her voice was just not that great). Chris has way more intensity and passion in his performances. His IAMX stuff is even better and he is the real deal. His voice has gotten progressively better and better.

It's sad the sneaker pimps themselves aren't even aware how good their material is. Unfortunately they seem to think changing the vocals back to a female singer is the way to go. Don't get me wrong, I liked Kelli, but I just think they got so much deeper and grittier once Chris took the mic.

The thing is, though, is that that's how Chris wants it. He thought a female singer suited the 'Becoming X' lyrics, and thought that a male singer suited the next 3 albums. I guess he thinks Tori's best for the 5th album. I wish they would come out with it, regardless.

When I hear the name Sneaker Pimps, I think of Splinter and Bloodsport and egdy electronic funk folk rock etc. Not sunny sappy lyrical Tori pop.

Because the Sneaker Pimps albums are almost like the progression of a story. Splinter was the depression, Bloodsport the hardcore partying, and the 4th album was the hangover. The 5th is just the next chapter. You can't write the next chapter under a pen name.
