If there is an album by XTC ,that you can call "The best one"? No, not really! they are all GREAT! But if i had had one pick,to take along me to a deserted island ,it would probably become English Settlements.I Have followed XTC

over 30 years, they are just SO english! I love it!

If you are interested ,in watching the guys in the studio,look for "Towers of London" One of the editions,has a subtitlle called Four days at the Manor.

I can see why my friend said she used to dance her brains out to many of the tracks on this album. What a classic twin-LP album.
