Please listen to " Karn evil 9" for a great display of Carls work. Great technical drum work. Maybe even better than Niel Pert when it comes to technical work which is what has made Pert famous. But as for Johns swing, triplets, and power combined, another won't come close. We could say kruppas triplets, vinnie appices power, but who's swing? Johns!!!

Beyond a doubt Palmer is truly amazing. One of the best of all times in my book, but so many drummers are amazing and each for thier own thing. John had a great feel for swing, which did shape the rest of this wonderful bands music. We are all so lucky these 4 musicians got together. Palmer in this group would not have led to this majik.

wrong. palmer started in 1968 with the crazy world of arthur brown before ELP. both of which are much better than led zeppelin.

palmer is a jazz drummer. bonham was self taught. he would have killed bonham in a drum off.
