Personally, I love this version. I don't compare it to Cave's because it's not him doing it, and making an exact replica of the original kinda defeats the object of a cover, doesn't it? Arctic Monkeys have made it sound like their material, and maybe that means it isn't as powerfully atmospheric as the original, but that's the point of a cover; to put your own spin on a song. So stop whining. If you wanna listen to the original, go do that. If you like this one, that's all good too.

This is a good cover- it's a nice contrast to the the slower (but still good) original. Anyway, if so many people here don't like it, then why watch it? If you try it and don't like it, there's this amazing thing called a 'back' button in the upper left hand corner of the page that lets you return to the previous one- you can go back without posting snide remarks that everyone is tired of hearing.

Do people really believe when Bands do covers they are trying to TOP the original? Most times it's a mark of respect for inspiration. Doing something different to a favorite song should be on the to do list of any band... I'd also say instead of bitching about a version you don't happen to like much..try doing it better yourself.
