Immigration is a serious and key issue that needs to be addressed. The city of Central Falls, RI I was referring to has to maintain an ESL (English as a Second Language) curriculum which has literally bankrupted out public school system. Militarizing the border makes the situation worse. Its been understood that it just pushes immigrants further out into the desert to cross, multiplying the death rate three fold. Given the more remote crossings, there is less of a chance of border patrol agents coming into contact with immigrants and the cost per arrest rises. That just means that more taxes are being spent to make fewer arrests.
