Chinook yet again showing what a wonderful aircraft design it is. This maneuver requires close coordination with the flight engineer in the back. The FE talks the pilot into a stable "squat" on the rear wheels as the troops disembark. The pilot continues to fly the front end of the helo with the appropriate application of collective power while the non-flying pilot keeps his/her eyes on all the gauges and outside the cockpit. Quite impossible to do without good crew communication.

lets see... F-4, C-130, C-17, Chinook, Apache, AWACS, SeaKing, Westland Wessex, All American designed aircraft flown by the UK. BAE Hawk, and Harrier... the only Brit designs I can think of in the last 40yrs to be flown by the US. And Brits are every bit as guilty of Blue on Blue engagements as the US is. It just doesnt make the news as often.
