  • Yang jun was very young here. He doesn't seem to be enjoying it much. Then who would at that age with great grandfather watching every move. His later videos are much better but I would like to see him demonstrating today. More Relaxed?I hope!

The Yang Style is my Favorite and I enjoy watching both master Yang and grandmaster Yang Ben. They are Great!

  • OMG. There is no way I can agree with this taichi. It looks like dancing taichi sports events. I am a Yang Taichi learner. I dare not say I am great but at least I can still tell the errors against the basic principles of taichi. I am so sadden with what I see here

  • It looks like more a "People's Republic of China" form (nice for tourists) than a traditionnal Yang form. We can see the same movement basis and tendencies as in their "PRC" wushu shows : straight legs, impersonal pattern, commitment to academic, etc. It is here a performance show, a cliché, not taijiquan. Nice performance though...

  • Wonderful!

  • He's just rooted to the ground. Might not look very flexible but his feet never quiver or try to stabilize. Expression will naturally come later. Truly a master!

  • @ArtemicionIX Read the classics, man! And look up some of the older masters here on youtube for comparison.. ...one part moves-every part moves...?.. Don't get me wrong, Yang is very young in this footage, and is probably much better now. Just don't assume everything is perfect just because of the man's family name! -We're all humans, none of us is Superman..

  • OH MY GOD!!!!! TERRIFIC!!!

my broosticks moves better!! more fluid and relaxed!!!! see it's waist, it's shoulder and hips..he is very very inflexible and hard!!!

  • I am a certified instructor with the Yang Family. Please visit my youtube page. Search: An Introduction to Tai Chi Chuan / Clifton & Montclair New Jersey / Taiji Taichi Yang

The Yang Family provides an excellent program for learning Tai Chi. It is a large international association. The information is clear and free from intangible esoteric rhetoric.

  • Perfect in execution! ***** Great!

  • awesome ..

I have practised Yang taiji several years ago .. and just by watching this man, i really should pick it up again .

    tnx for the inspiration !

  • Looks very good. Is this from the Yang Family demonstration DVD or from the Instruction DVD? I want to order the 190 minutes instruction DVD from their website... is it good?

  • Their DVD has more content, music and much MUCH higher quality video. This is good for learning, don't get me wrong, but the DVD is a whole lot nicer to watch and better to learn from.

  • Thanks for posting this clip. I do chengs 37 short form myself, but aspire to learn the big form and sword form at some point.

  • nice and slow, not many people in my class practise tai chi slow enough, they rush through the movements.

  • Master Yang teaches at the Yang Family Tai Chi school in Redmond, Washington.

  • This clip is from 1990. If you could watch Master Yang Jun performing now you would be amazed!! He has improved himself 1000 times!!

  • handsome and beautiful taiji, the real stuff. thanks
