Yes, Arkansas pulled for Kris in a big way. There were also Adam fans as well. I think any state,pulls for its own. Where I live and teach is one of the most OPENLY LIBERAL places in the South. There was no Adam bashing. I loved Adam! I even went to a Kiss concert in the 70's.Adam was good. Kris was good. I think America was forced to pick between two really good singers and people. They just leaned toward the ballad singer this time, instead of the rocker. In my humbe opinion.

I have to respectfuly disagree though, I honestly think that the real reason Lambert didn't win is because of all the people that instead of voting FOR either of the contestants voted AGAINST Adam, figuratively speaking of course. What I'm trying to say is that unfortunately a lot of Americans didn't base their vote on talent but on other meaningless aspects like sexual preferences, religion, backround, etc, etc.

The problem with american idol is that this is not a singing competition, its a popularity contest. Randy Jackson brings the only real serious credentials to judge.
