Maybe it's because of the instruments used, but I swear, the middle part of this piece sounds like it came out from a Fire Emblem game (the GBA versions with Lyn and Eliwood). Makes me want to play that game again ;n;

I have played almost all of the Zelda games, and a LOT of games in general, but I have to say, that this is my absolute favourite game EVER. Three reasons:

1) It's Zelda.

2) Oceans. Motherfucking oceans.

So why not Wind Waker?

3) The awesome guy that is Linebeck. For some reason, he's at least in my top three favourite video game characters ever.

A lot of reviewers thought Spirit Tracks was better, but I enjoyed Phantom Hourglass' story a lot more. Also, sailing a ship and discovering the different islands was great fun, even if the waters felt a bit empty at times.

Personally, I do prefer the Phantom Hourglass version to Wind Waker's. This one sounds more epic and the lower rythm sounds better.

I don't know if you understand me, but Wind Waker's sound like it's a hurry whereas Phantom Hourglass' is more like calm sea.

@iclone98 SERIOUSLY? Out of all of them, Phantom hourglass? Haven't you played Ocarina of Time? Or any other one in the series? Phantom hourglass is too short, and has like 10 songs. I HIGHLY reccomend you play Ocarina of time.

Personally, i liked Phantom Hourglass a lot better. The Great Sea theme i like better than the Spirit Tracks theme, and though the Temple of the Ocean King was much harder than the Spirit Temple, the game was still far more enjoyable. Oh, and sailing was more fun that riding around in a train...

@SamAbelMusic Spirit Tracks is a lot better, you should definitely try it. It's a lot like PH, true, but picture PH with the same Temple of the Ocean King, but without the time limit or having to redo every floor you did previously. It almost feels like PH was the beta for SS, which is extremely streamlined. Also, its music is amazing.

What I also like about Spirit Tracks is how at times it shares a certain resemblance to Ocarina of Time. You've got five temples, each with their own Sage (well, Lokomo, but if you think about it it's pretty much the same thing), and each with their own song. And then there's the final boss. It's not Ganon but it sure as heck has a strong resemblance to that fight.

If You listen closely, the background portion of the music is very close to the great sea music from Windwaker...and the beginning of it is a few notes higher in terms of the key it's played in.

The guy in North-west sea that has the same clothes as Link is in it. The first time you talk to him he's talking about a mission in the ship of the prince of red lions.
