Yes so hard to open thats to stop the shop lifters they nick them then can't get into them
But makes it harder for us to get into I once tried to open something and cut into a cable that came with it but it's cheaper than a box but shrink wrap is the worst

i'm sure you already know but its recommended not to have your backup UPS right next to your box, i have the same exact apc model
