Sadly, i started with swoon about a month ago and worked my way backward, and the further back i go the better it gets. Possibly the best band ever? Before this only the smashing pumpkins had such a profound impact on me. I've finally found another band i can fall completely in love with. Why did i not hear of them until "panic switch" hit the radio? That dissapoints me, since it's probably my least favorite song by them, though i love every second of their music...

You know, I understand that MCR is known and identified as the "offspring" of Smashing Pumpkins, but what about that kind of recognition with Silversun Pickups?

I guess MCR's persona is comparable to SP's "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness," While I can see SSPU being compared to a fusion of SP's "Pisces Iscariot," and "Siamese Dream." Of the two eras, I prefer the earlier SP to "Mellon Collie."

Epic! I prefer this above the smashing pumpkins, this band has some sort of flow I prefer. If you like this check out 'My Bloody Valentine' too if you didn't know that band yet and maybe placebo. Placebo is different but sometimes just has the same flow to me. This song is so freakin' amazing. SSPU have that way of building a climax in their songs. This is so hot.

Without the Jesus and Mary Chain there's a huge possibility that My Bloody Valentine wouldn't have excisted,JMC were a influental band from the eighties and they are totally different from the cure. They use a lot more of noise and build further on the style of the velvet underground.

This band has talent, intelligence, all that they create seems to be a work of genius, whereas everything the Smashing Pumpkins has crapped out seems to be the work of a dyslexic, autistic 3 year old. Whenever Billy Corgan hits a high note, it sounds like he just shit his pants. Whereas whenever Brian Aubert hits a high note, YOU almost shit your pants.
