Judging from the new KHDDD trailer, this guy is the young xehanort seen in the trailer. It makes sense, especially when going by KH's track record. Each hidden, super boss has always been present in the next BIG KH game as a main character or enemy(KH1 had Xemnas, KH2 had the lingering sentiment, aka terra(or terra after he lost his body), so this guy will be in KHDDD and is most likely young xehanort.

I finally figured out who this guy is,Its master xehanorts black coat he wore during the opening cut scene with ven on destiny islands.When terra was taken over by Xehanort the coat became a lingering will like terras armor in that sort of way.
I also find it amusing that, even with hidden bosses, no enemy in KHs as a series ever has an answer to the dodge roll or the abilities that make it impossible to die from combos.
@1andonlycrazist Actually this guy and lingering sentiment from kh2m both can negate once more and second chance with their combos. Mysterious figure can grab you and throw you in the air after a combo and it has a delay which then negates once more. Has happened to me few times. And khf2m dodge roll isnt as broken as in bbs. But yeah, BBS dodge roll is just ridiculous. Gotta agree with you in that.
Does anyone else ever get annoyed when there is a sound effect placed for an action or movement that will be executed with a high degree of frequency? You know, kinda like the 'yah', 'hu' and other non-word noises characters make when they perform their basic attacks or, say, DODGE ROLLING!? Sweet Sheogorath, I hate how every second is filled with his senseless grunting as he does his base moves!
@1andonlycrazist I dont mind the attack sounds every now and then but i sure dont like the dodge roll sound. Wish there was an option to disable it... And by attack sounds i mean stuff like "Take this" or something like that.
You got so damn lucky at the end... Just let him finish the combo you're in, cast Curaga, and then spam Thunder Surge. If you would have missed that last Surge and he would have hit you with another attack from that combo he was doing you would have been finished. I beat him on Proud, now I have to do it on Critical... And by the looks of the HP bar, it won't be too easy.
I think the fight in Critical Mode is generally the same as Standard, except that you do much much much less damage. You'd have to be a pro at dodging to win on Critical.
@MasterKade123 Critical mode has huge differences compared to standard. However this guys attack patterns are same and do not depend on difficulty level. In critical mode you deal half the damage you usually deal and enemies hit you twice as hard. Also you get about half less hp than in other modes. Which can be seen here because vens hp bar is alot smaller than usual and this is postgame. I also have all the hp boost abilities.
@loghh What I meant was that the Defense loss doesn't matter, as he would send you down to 1 HP anyways no matter the difficulty; the problem with Critical Mode is that you don't do nearly as much damage, meaning you would need to survive longer. And yeah, I'm playing Critical Mode right now, and I am not doing much...
@camtbone96 nobody knows for sure. he is far too strong to be Xemnas/Heartless Xehanort/Xehanort and even uses element based attacks. he wear the Organization's coat but I have never seen any member use such weapons and such skill in executing power. The only 2 things I can think of is 1)He is No. 0 of the Organization(which makes no sense) or 2) He is Chuck Norris

@DarknessOfSorrow You sound like a guy who haven't fought him yet, even spamming Surges is incredibly hard, you should consider yourself anything else than a noob when taking down this guy, even when spamming.
@SuperioMan3432 Defeat Vanitas Sentiment. Between you and me and everyone else who reads this, if you use the thunder surge thing on this guy, Vanitas sentiment is actually harder. That's in my opinion though. Although there is a cheap strategy for beating Vanitas sentiment with Ventus: TORNADO THE CRAP OUTTA HIM.
Not to sound like a douche, but the way you fight is really noobish. I mean, all you do is spamming dodge rolling and thunder surge. Is it possible you can just hit him?

@DarknessOfSorrow If you hit him with normal physical attacks he will first of all instantly counter and sometimes he even turns back time. Im not kidding. He has a move like that. So normal physical attacks are a no go in this fight.
They do not, I'm LV 36 on Beginner (Yeah I suck) and Thunder Surge does not kill them easy (and it gets me raped) IDK how you kill them but I did the same thing and they survived it and raped me.
@elynobody You need an ability called Once more. Its for combos. Second chance only saves you from one hit. You can meld Once more using this Once More = Fira + Fira + Wellspring Crystal

it's not xemnas. 1) he's using a completely different sword style 2) remember, xemnas has terra's body so, like terra, he's a fairly big and beefy dude, whereas this guy's rather slender (and a fast sunuvabitch, too!) 3) ansem still just means the old fart with count dooku's voice in this game XD and lastly 4) xemnas's lightsabers were always like stabilized versions of his lasers, this guy's got metal handles on his swords
Fact: Mysterious Figure and Vanitas Lingering Spirit have higher attack and defense in Easy Mode than any other Mode. But they have greater speed in other modes

I think that it might be DiZ/ Ansem the Wise or whatever his name was (you know who i am talking about)...he said he did terrible things in the cutscene...maybe this was him before all that?
He is the hardest Oponent in all of these past few KH games so far he has a simmilar fighting style as Xeanort Marluxia and a couple other characters combined......

i beat him just awhile ago too. but with a lvl 58 ven. wanted to do high enough damage so i had to lvl up a bit. i found it easier to use items tho. anyways, congrats to the people who beat him with no cheats and spent countless hours preparing XD now i only need to beat him with terra :s
@loghh 25 hours played time listed at the end kind of begs to differ, I have less play time than that on a lvl 51 ven where I actually stopped and watched all of the videos... not trying to be a jerk, just the way way you came off in your reply sounded kind of high and mighty, felt like popping that bubble just a touch. Either way the only things that really matter in this fight on ven are rolling, surges, oncemore, second chance, leaf bracer, and maybe magic/attack haste

And no, this fight isnt easy by any means, I wasnt trying to say it was, its just that it doesnt require levels because no matter what you're going to be stripped to 1hp from any combo you get caught with, the only thing levels will help is how quickly you kill him and reduce the risk of being unlucky

it's not xemnas. 1) he's using a completely different sword style 2) remember, xemnas has terra's body so, like terra, he's a fairly big and beefy dude, whereas this guy's rather slender (and a fast sunuvabitch, too!) 3) ansem still just means the old fart with count dooku's voice in this game XD and lastly 4) xemnas's lightsabers were always like stabilized versions of his lasers, this guy's got metal handles on his swords

maybe they'll show his identity in the late continuation of kh 2 much like they showed the hooded man in kh as xemnas in kh 2.

Fact: Mysterious Figure and Vanitas Lingering Spirit have higher attack and defense in Easy Mode than any other Mode. But they have greater speed in other modes

First you need to create the mentioned commands with the corresponding crystal to get Second Chance or Once More in the mix.
:
Example: ''Fire + Fire + Wellspring Crystal'' to get FIRA command with a Wellspring Crystal ability. create another FIRA by this way and mix them:
Fira (Wellspring Crystal Ability) + Fira (Wellspring Crystal Ability) + Wellspring Crystal = Firaga+(Once More). 100% for sure
u can get ''Second Chance'' by the same way.

He is the hardest Oponent in all of these past few KH games so far he has a simmilar fighting style as Xeanort Marluxia and a couple other characters combined......

several, not likely explanations.
12 (clock) = 0 and 3. 3 = sora/ven/roxas, riku/terra/axel and kairi/aqua/xion.
the blade pointing upwards looks like a 1, while the other is pointing towards the clock-position, 3. 13.
12 = 2012
3 = KH3
it has been said before that KH3 has an expected release date of 2012.
i honestly dont believe any of these are intentional, but it's fun to speculate :D

i beat him just awhile ago too. but with a lvl 58 ven. wanted to do high enough damage so i had to lvl up a bit. i found it easier to use items tho. anyways, congrats to the people who beat him with no cheats and spent countless hours preparing XD now i only need to beat him with terra :s

@loghh 25 hours played time listed at the end kind of begs to differ, I have less play time than that on a lvl 51 ven where I actually stopped and watched all of the videos... not trying to be a jerk, just the way way you came off in your reply sounded kind of high and mighty, felt like popping that bubble just a touch. Either way the only things that really matter in this fight on ven are rolling, surges, oncemore, second chance, leaf bracer, and maybe magic/attack haste

@loghh *rollseyes* my @ was meant to be in reply to a reply you made telling someone you didnt spend a lot of time preping when clearly you did spend a fair bit of time. And no, this fight isnt easy by any means, I wasnt trying to say it was, its just that it doesnt require levels because no matter what you're going to be stripped to 1hp from any combo you get caught with, the only thing levels will help is how quickly you kill him and reduce the risk of being unlucky
