If there's Gonna Be a web 3.0 then these browsers should be in 3D environment and when browsing for informations, your own IP address will be a 3D character wandering around the cloud then can look for the nearest 3D Character(IP ADDRESS). Well that's just an option though "wandering online"...you can type the "(DOMAIN name/IP Address/3D Character)" where your 3d char. will be in fly position(as in fly while website is loading),,,

Web 2.0 is a concept, not an actual version or a marketing term. The former web concept meant that a closed group of people created the contents of the web (the webmasters and writers). Web 2.0 is used when the contents are created collaboratively by an open community. Forums, social networks and even YouTube (where everyone can upload videos and comment or rate) are instances of the web 2.0 concept. It's as real as anyone wants it to be.

With the exception of logs and auto-generated reports, everything else in the web is user-generated. That's where the subtle details come into play. 2.0 is not only user-generated content, but user-driven as well. In other words, is treating a web as a community, not as a mere compilation of information.

Probably the misleading thing is the name. 2.0 is wrong IMHO, but I didn't put it that name. Probably the right term would be "community-oriented webs" or "social webs".

nahh, more likely web 4.0 will revolve mostly around incorporating an informational biosphere into our entire planet so as to allow us to access all information wherever and whenever via wrist-pads or such, it will most likely not be via virtual optical input/output devices at all. That wont be the case until web 5.0 where the biosphere is merged with the new noosphere which will combine all human consciousness with all information and allow us to tap into it via virtual inpot/output.
