She had a very young child inside her bomb shelter. Every Vietnamese home has to have a bomb shelter. The ambush actually lasted about two or three minutes, and the platoon got pretty well shot up.

Another Vietnam Veteran who spoke out against both the War and atrocities of the war is Bobby Muller who now heads Veterans for America. His commentary [A Veteran speaks against the war] was delivered on July 23, 1971 at a Columbia University student assembly. Bobby Muller went on to be one of the founding members of Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) as VVAW began to break up into various political factions.

I was the Point Man. A "good" ambush always lets the POINT, and the next couple G.I.'s through, until they get their sights on the RTO man, the M-60, the E-7, and the ButterBar.
I was cut off from the rest, which allowed me to get the 4 kills so easily

The reason I asked these people to show these [DD-214] forms is because a few press releases came out and said that we did not have valid proof that the people up here testifying are Vietnam veterans. I'm sure now that they have no reason to doubt it. The next veteran that will be speaking is Bill Perry, a former Pfc. of the U.S. Army, 101st Airborne.

When you get some time, read Bill Perry's Winter Soldier testimony. He deserted his post, was derelict in his duty and by running away from an ambush without warning his unit, aided the enemy.

Nobody got spit on a veteran after Vietnam. That has been a lie, used to discredit the peace movement. However, I do know that The Gathering of Chicken Hawks spit of veterans and attacked Carlos Arredondo in DC just last year for speaking out against the war.

went to the march on the pentagon. walked through the gauntlet of GOE. traveled with an 84 year old WWII veteran. small, but scrappy. he had his WWII hat on and was well-recognized as a vet. they called him a filthy traitor and tried to prevent him from getting through. he elbowed his way through and then one of them after pretending to do it, went ahead and spit right at his feet. fortunately, he didn't see it and i never told him. he fought for his country then and now.

She had a very young child inside her bomb shelter. Every Vietnamese home has to have a bomb shelter. The ambush actually lasted about two or three minutes, and the platoon got pretty well shot up.
