it's actually an amazing book. i learned a lot about art from it. it's like bansky on a phd in art history. i laughed not stop for about 3 hours, as i read it. that was good for me. its good to laugh.

It started an argument between my dad and the neighbor, 'cause the neighbor got pissed that my dad poured water on his cat to get it away from the bunny.

Burton Silver (the writer)is a cartoonist, parodist, writer, art critic and inventor from New Zealand. He's very well known there so when he wrote this book, the Kiwis got it. The Americans had no idea that it was a piss take and consequently it was a hit. He also has a book called "Dancing with Cats" which is hilarious.

This book recently came into my life. It belonged to someone else but I had to have it for a fortnight. It brought me joy not fury. Pure snort laughing joy. It's fkn genius is what it is and I had to take pictures and make notes just so I could make a Why Cats Paint album on facebook before I grudgingly gave it back. And did you happen to notice in the bibliography...Why Dogs Don't Paint? Beautiful, just fkn beautiful.

Thats hilarious. I think I've seen that book before. I didn't realize it was actually about painting cats though! I didn't know cats could paint...
