I love Fruits Basket! This is honestly the only manga I can read over and over again. The storyline and the inspiring lessons and grief that each and every character faces, along with the support of Tohru absolutley leave me with the best feeling ever. I can proudly say that this manga actually made me cry as well!

@orangetop17kyo Funimation only made 26 eps cuz I think the girl who voiced Tohru in Japanese died of a car crash and they wanted to honor her memory so they stopped making the anime . . . just to lighten the mood let me throw around some funny words like hippopotamus and juggling :)

@sakigolgotha I'm pretty sure Yui Horie is not dead. It may have been due to conflicts with the manga (plot wise) that they stopped. I honestly don't know. If they were stopping it in memory of someone, it could have been Ritsuko Okazaki (the woman who sang this and the opening, I also think she may have had something to do with the rest of the music in the series also, again, not sure, so don't take my word for it) she died in 2004, though.

Sooooooo many memories after the series ended I started readin the books cuz for some reason funimation only makes 26 episode amines that were originally mangas(they did that for ouran host club) soo for ouran and fruits basket the anime only did like a third of the manga series

Fruits basket is my all time favorite anime (and manga teehee)~ Never before have I been so excited to watch or read anything in my life lol Maybe since I watched this at a young age, it was especially important to me. I put all of the themes and plot goodness into my heart and it makes me happy just to think of the story~ With the lovely music, art, and plot, it was a joy to watch. Fruits Basket is a treasure and a beautiful story that will have you wishing it were real...I know I do ;D
