  • The examples I've seen on UG have you capo 7th position. Doesn't sound right.

  • Great cover, great song. I just covered it on the mandolin :)

  • Hey guys, I started learning to play the mandolin just to cover this song. I've recorded my first attempt, take a look on my profile, it's the newest video. Cool cover ;)

  • amazing!! good voice

  • @Elsa7803

    Merci!

  • Nice cover. Thanks

  • I think it's a really good cover, and I learned to play it myself with your video. thank you

  • @BlueSpirals

Great! It's a very versatile song. let me know if you put up a cover.

  • you have a serios voice pal! congratulations, and nice song!

  • I like your voice. Smooth and relaxed.. Fits the song

  • Thanks all for the nice comments!

  • Well done mate!

  • thanks!!!!!!

  • damn, i love this song dude... thx for this cover

  • Thanks for sharing

  • wow, great!! it gets a completely different mood.. great voice.

  • Gday dude. I always thought, and think, the lyrics go 'burning black holes in dark memories'. Makes more sense in the context of the song too than 'bringing back holes'. Cheers

  • I like your mondegreen.

  • He uses an ukelele right? You should try a capo in the 5th fret. I play somewhere over the rainbow which is also played on a ukelele, with a capo in the 5th fret. Should be the same for this. 5 stars :P

  • I've wanted to try a ukelele. regarding Over the Rainbow.. Do you do the "50 first dates" version, or your own adaptation? What chords do use?

  • I'll send you the tab through a PM cause it's too long to send it in a comment.

Anybody else PM if you want the tab too ;)

  • I believe the original is played on a mandolin

  • @mNy90 vedder actually uses a mandolin for the studio version.

  • Thanks! I thought it sounded kinda low...

  • It was ok, you made it your own by making it a lot different from the original. And that's what covers are all about. Try putting a capo on 5 and play it D G A and speed up the strums. Have fun.

  • Thanks, I'll give it a try!

  • good job

  • Great, very very nice!

  • Your version is by the best! Next to Vedders of course.

  • great country version with a very good sounding voice!! go on!

  • sounds great man... is that a christmas tree in the background haha?

  • Ficus..

  • Beautiful. Thanks so much for playing it.

  • Sei molto bravo... davvero!

  • Grazie!

  • veeeeeeery nice, man! simple, true and easy, just like it should sound... :)

may I know what chords were used? I can see D, G, A...

  • Thanks for nice comments. Yes. D,G,A. I sometimes hold down the B string at the 3rd fret when playing the G.

  • wow, thanks for the beautiful song! wow man, just wow.

  • ..amazing voice man!..really good cover you made..

  • Great voice man. Props on this, I love how you used your own voice instead of trying to copy eddies. Nice job.

  • Thanks all for kind comments.

  • Just the fact that you (obviously) neither tried to replicate Eddie's voice nor the original mandolin voicings makes this version amazing. :)

  • love it, just as much as i love all of the Into the Wild projects :D

  • very nice. i was looking for a guitar version. would like to hear guitar and mandolin together.

  • hmm...I like that that..

  • perfect :)

  • very impressive! i love this soundtrack....

  • nice job. this a great underrated song.

  • Great song. 'Guaranteed' is great too. Movie is awesome.

  • 'Guaranteed' is great. Difficult to remember the long lyric.
