for the price, I dont see why people wouldnt just get the KP3..sure you cant use 4 effects at once and freeze them etc..But you have effects, midi/usb controller, sampler, plus a few stock instruments with the KP3. And you can save like 8 presets onto the top buttons and access them pretty quick.
@fawkthescene666 Where i live, the KPQ is a full 100€ cheaper than the KP3. And thanks to the individual freezes, you get to control each effect seperately, that's a big deal actually. Particularly if you, like me, not only mix full tracks with it, but also use it for effects on a single synth at times.
The things the KP3 does that the KPQ doesnt, most people will usually have better gear already covering those bases, like a sampler etc.
Not to say the KP3 is bad, it's awesome. But i prefer KPQ.
To all asking, no you can't hook your mixer, instrument, mic up to this unless it is Korg branded. Those are proprietary audio connections, known in the biz as '1/4" audio inputs' which are copyrighted, and therefore used, used only by Korg branded products. Korg has been approached numerous times with the request to license '1/4" audio inputs' but the response thus far has been negative. Don't expect these jacks to show up on any other gear for at least another decade. (/facepalm)
@proteron Are you talking about the quad? Because it looks to me like you can hook up anything with an audio output into this unit. And the only 1/4 inch jacks on here are for headphones and mic..All you need to go in/out on this quad are rca cables, and some adapters - depending what youre trying to hook up to it.
@gcombes420 YOU'RE just an internet troll with nothing to do but pick fights on NAMM videos. In fact I don't need to FEEL BETTER, I feel GREAT! Especially because I was born pretty unlike the dude in this video.
Interesting. I have the KaosPro and really only just getting into using it properly as I am making a song for a big celebrity from Xfactor!... Sinitta. The song is called 'Let's Fall In Love Again'. I'm just creating it now and using the Kaos Pro & a Boss/Roland BR-900CD (My DAW wouldn't work due to my PC's limited processing abilities)
I'm looking forward to the next version of KaosPro and hoping it has a Undo and Bounce feature.
Not sure if this product is of any use to me but, it looks good.
Anyone who what that synth is you see at the start, its the one in nero promises

Looks like Korg have taken a step back. Although they did set the bar outrageously high for themselves with the Korg Kaoss Pad and Kaossilator Pro.

I don't really like this. Kaoss Pad 2 the whole way. Especially as I play guitar and piano/synth, the kaoss pad 2 just seems more suitable for me...

No midi? That's kind of silly.
PLUS, this guy is a doink.

absolute junk... no midi = bad...
id say if you want a crazy setup... get a kaoss pad 3 kaossilator and this...
street price is pretty good, cheaper than kaoss pad 3... thats the good part
