  • I can understand people trying to rectify the original title by correctly pointing out that this is a juvenile white-bellied sea-eagle and NOT a Philippines eagle. But calling a Philippines eagle as the 'King of Birds' is incorrect as well. Just because it is the largest eagle doesn't mean it is the King. Yes, I'm pointing towards the Golden Eagle.

  • is that eagle also endangered?

  • it is not a philippine eagle. it's a white-tailed sea eagle!

  • lol .. it attacked the guy cause the bird see him as a monkey or something :))) hahaha thats why its clld MONKEY EATING EAGLE

  • haha tangena napag kamalang unggoy hahaha

  • lol kya nga monkey eating eangle e ,,hahah

  • this one is WBSE, white bellied sea eagle..

  • @guitarezz - I agreed to you! The eagle on the video is not a Philippine Eagle. The bird on the video has a white tail, small beaks, no crest and specially smaller than the real Philippine Eagle. Until now many topics about "What is the largest Eagle? (Harpy Eagle/Philippine Eagle)". This video will be misleads!

  • lol

  • lol

  • hahahaha....dat's 2 big for a monkey. ape cguro. lesson learned: don't walk naked...

  • that kid must be look like a squid the eagle mistaken him as a good meal lol

  • sadly this is not the Philiipine eagle

  • buti hindi ginagalaw ng mga tao dyan sa lugar na yan ung ibon

  • @mutadis1 DUDE IT LIVES IN THE JUNGLE EATS MONKEYS AND SLOTHES FOR MAIN FOOD DUDE DO RESARCH BEFORE YOU WRITE THAT!!!!

  • Ha-ha! To please the contra-raters: if we would change the title, it would nearly not be found in the search engines, and get no viewers, see the copy: 'Attack of the eagle'. By the way: even Discovery Channel approached us for information about this video.

  • thanks for posting this video. about the title, im not bodered, aka marketing strategies ;) clever!

  • @mutadis1 - You should've admit that you have mistaken the juvenile White bellied sea-eagle as a Philippine eagle. as your tittle said to avoid further embarassment. I remember this...

"Maybe it is a mix of a white sea eagle and a brown Philippine eagle! :p

I will soon launch the video: 'The Return of the Philippine Eagle' ! "

Sorry! but there is no such thing as mixed!

  • BTW you did a great job on this footage It's a nice video!

  • The comment about the mix of a white and a brown bird was only meant as a little symbolic joke, sir.

  • 2/2... but the name tags seem then already interchanged. Don't be upset about misleading titles, YouTube is not a bible, internet is a jungle. Consider that YOU get here a FREE view, through a tele lens, of a rare few seconds event! While, the people at the spot (cameraman included), not had time or proximity to see any details at all!

  • 1/2*To some wiseacres here (most offensive comments were removed). Own recordings of the Philippine Eagle in the Davaos conservation centre can also be found in this MJM Channel. Recently visited a University museum, in Philippines's oldest city (Cebu), displaying two stuffed birds of the years 1930's. One looks clearly the Philippine Eagle the other looks like a Sea Eagle, BUT the name tags

  • @mutadis1 :-) but it would been nice to see an attack of a real Philippine eagle, though not on a human. :-) anyway, nice video. hopefully people will be more aware and stop capturing\eating these birds. even these smaller but still magnificent sea eagle.

  • ahh ok, hindi talaga ito PHILIPPINE EAGLE.

    this is a SEA HAWK...

Philippine Eagle is a lot bigger than this one and its the only eagle with a lion like mane and has golden brown in color with a white chest ....

i agree, this is a misleading video for the world's King of Birds!

    please change the tittle.

  • parang hindi PHILIPPINE EAGLE yan ah? bakit parang iba yung kulay ulo?

  • that's not a Philippine Eagle, that's a sea eagle. why name it Philippine eagle anyway.. the title is misleading..

  • Finally, I found a video of a Philippine eagle. Thank you very much for sharing it. I can see what the rave is all about.

    It is truly majestic looking!

  • this isn't the philippine eagle. this is a white bellied sea eagle. philippine eagles are way larger then this.

  • im hungry by looking at that bird...im gonna get one of those

  • monkey hunter....

  • probably this monkey hunter is still hunting your mother.

  • akaala ng eagle unggoy!

  • philippine eagle sa palawan.? baka davao posible. at hindi philippine eagle yan.

  • cooool.

  • that eagle shouldve taken out that kid

  • Maybe it is a mix of a white sea eagle and a brown Philippine eagle! :p

I will soon launch the video: 'The Return of the Philippine Eagle' !

  • There is no such thing as mixed white sea eagle and brown Philippine eagle... It's a juvinile White-bellied sea eagle (Haliaeetus leucogaster), that is why it still has it's brown feathers Young Sea-eagles are brown when juveniles then gradually come to resemble adults, acquiring the complete adult plumage by their fourth year.

The adult has white head, breast underwing coverts and tail. The upperparts are grey and the black underwing flight feathers contrast w/ the white coverts tail short.

  • it's a white bellied sea eagle. it's common in south east asia i think coz singapore has one in their jurong aviary. the Philippine Eagle is larger than this.

  • more like attack of the sea eagle! i had no idea white bellied sea eagle is found in philippine. is the sea eagle endangered there?

  • That mustve been a real ugly kid for him to be mistaken as a monkey by that eagle LMAO

  • @simion11 yah too bad for the kid..."He must've have been an ugly kid." thats what i told my son hahhahaha

  • the eagle mistaken him for a monkey? hahaha "oh no you're to big for a monkey" said the eagle

  • ;) haha, I knew it! As compensation, I put a more accurate explanation in the video description info window.

  • ... sure, I have the 'real' Philippine eagle in my video collection to. But only in cages, in the Mindanao eagle reservation centre. However, I feel the titel has some symbolic value...

  • It's a white bellied sea eagle and there's no recorded sigthings of Philippine eagles in Palawan.

  • fillipynen arend

  • that's not a philippine eagle but a juvenile white bellied sea eagle i suppose... the phil. eagle is bigger than that!

  • This is a wild eagle, that made coincidently an attack on a young philippino guy (the one in red pants), just in front of my camera. Sabang beach, underground river regio, Palawan. The eagle normaly eats monkeys.

Unfortunely You tube seems to compile the video down to low resolution and make it so less attractive.

  • Great video. Does the eagle belong to someone?
