I remember the morning he died flying through an ice storm to sing at a show. they started playing his biggest hit that day (On the dock of the bay) He never even heard it played on the radio. It stayed #1 on the charts for weeks. In the mid 90's I met his brother Dexter Redding and Roger Redding. I think he was only 27 when he died. When he sings you can feel it comes from his soul.
