  • hey. having abit of trouble with my steering wheel. the adapter dont work anymore and the steering wheel wont turn on using batteries, dose any body know to get it back working or if you can get an adapter, ive phoned xbox customer support, they said they dont make them any more and theres no adapters left. thank you.

  • i wish i had a racing set and really cool what games do you play

  • Nice work!, I just got that wheel and pedals combination and this looks like a brilliant idea b/c you could just lift the whole thing out of the way when you want to play a non racing game..which I often do.

  • thanks

  • Nice what wheel and pedals are those are they official x box ones

  • YES

  • how do you make the stand come off

  • That looks dope you should make and sell those you would make bank

  • Well thought out. Good job!

  • Fucking American piece of shit! americans are cowards!

  • great job

  • You should spray paint it.

  • homemade awesomeness why can't the people working up in microsoft ever be creative

  • Do you have a site with blueprints/ templates?

  • i wish you were my dad!

  • great job buddy! this is the perfect example of a cheap setup that you can push away super easy when you are done playing. You can have a look at my playseat on my channel. I have build one with a real car seat and also MDF. It works perfectly.

  • You spotter, only joking mate that's fookin awesome

  • Can you post some more advanced blueprints.?

  • q lixooooooo

  • hi mach,

    Nice job done for assessment.

I would be happy if you could tell me how to arrive for the steering wheel position and steering wheel angle for better comfort.

  • The Logitech G25 or G27 is waaayyy better ..

  • awesome set up!!!! Great DIY skills, I want one for my logitec wheel!

  • Thats the shit right there man. Hey message me if you are interested in selling?

  • this is so good! i've now found myself my next project! seriously good work man, looks awesome!

  • were can i find a table clamp for the wheel?

  • you should sell those.

  • now lets see you use it

  • Wich u were my dad so u can make me one :-P

  • can i make 1 of those if im a jew?

  • they should make one with a clutch

  • Cool

  • Thanks for the idea! I built one yesterday that is similar to yours, except I put the pedals on an angle. Thanks for posting.

  • very good job

i've been looking for a good way to fix my wheel and couldn't find anything commercially that was suitable (and cheap) at the moment my wheel is on a shaky card table :)).

i like the idea of actually fixing the wheel and not using the clamp.

    looks much more solid.

  • Házi barkács,nem is rossz...

  • How long did it take to build?

  • looks like a wicked stand

  • Great job! please post what are the dimensions? LxWxH?

    thanks

  • @webchez69 I posted dimensions in the "info" section for this video.

  • hey m8, please could u send me the designs for this i.e the measurement and the size of timber, it looks good n i wanna build it. cheerze m8.

  • Nice :)

  • could you give me some dimesnions and stuff so i could make this in shop???

  • nice 1

  • Hilarious that so many people think this is rocket science to make, get a drill, some wood, some screws. Good job man.

  • could u put a design blueprint or something up?

  • oh man.. you could get alot of money for that design.. i could give you arround 60 dollars for a stand like that.. woow!! :D

  • Very nice dude. I like it. Can I have it? lol

  • what a great idea. i would pay u to make me one of those. looks fantastic.

  • @GT4tube tu madre.

  • I have to make one of these!

  • dts sum sick sht... u mus b qud wid construction my G

  • Great Job! Looks like a lot of labor. I found a really good racing wheel platform at Best Time Gaming Products. One model sells for less than 50.00

  • oh no shit u put a chair lol nah but ur ok verry creative

  • your a legend!

  • man ill pay you to make me one jeez lol

  • Nice job man I was just at the hardware store but I couldn't remember what stuff you used. I know mdf but what else. I just got a new dill hammer and bits. Anything else.

  • i like to use Gorilla glue and screws

  • that is a really good jod im gettin one i might make one (good jop tho)

  • dude that is badass you did a great job with that. im gettin a racin g wheel and thats what im gonna make. sweet setup tho

  • i just went and bought a sheet of MDF and all of the other stuff im building one right now i took your dimensions so it kinda looks like yours but i put a little more support. ill put a link to show you what i built when its done! Thanks!

  • do you have the dimensions? I have the MDF but didn't find any starting dimensions.

  • dude u need to get to my house n make me one your pro.. nice work

  • thanks

  • Excellent work! Really nice setup.

  • Mate that is some really top work, very nice.

  • Do it work with Midnight club los angeles

  • Great job on this. I will be doing this really soon, (as forza 3 nears release).

Did you buy the wood at lowes, or what?

Also, about the glue, did you just run a strip of glue down each peice, put it together and then put screws in?

  • I bought the 4' X 8' X 3/4" sheet of MDF at Home Depot but Lowes sells it to. I used a strip of Gorilla Glue on every joint, not too much though because it expands to something like 4 times it's size. Any wood glue would work but I do think Gorilla is the strongest myself. Pre-drill your screw holes or MDF cracks.

  • nice!

  • hey could you send me the dimensions and the materials need to make it

  • Dimensions are for yourself, design it according to your size or go and take a look on your car. You dont need to make one exactly the same, you do not need to make it with the exact amount of materials, as long as the thing fits and it wont break...

  • Seth is right but if you need a starting point read through the comments and you will find I posted the dimensions awhile back.

  • k thanks

  • you could make serious money out of that

  • this is a very good idea I am in the midst of building a foldable racing seat that has mount locations for steering wheel, pedals my 24'' lcd and my 7 speaker surround sound system. Will most likely make the steering wheel and pedals detachable so that I can use it as a generic gaming seat. Will make a vid of it when I am done.

  • They need to make one with a clutch and a stick :] that would be awesome!!!!

The stick would be separate and I would mount that to my chair!!!! lol dude i need to patent that b4 you guys do lol

  • they have made one with a clutch and stick. its made by fanatik a german company. it works with the xbox 360 more importantly it was intoduced souly for Forza 3!

  • Do you think it would be Possiable to make a Homemade H Shifter for the Xbox 360 cause the Paddle Shifters are alright but an H Shifter would be Cooler.

  • MAn Thank You so much next week Im getting this and my first opinion is where do I sit it on well I must go to Home depot or lowes first thanks Again...

  • nice setup, clean an slick build

  • do you know if you can hook in a turtle beach headset mic into it. it has one of the weird connecters

  • If the Turtle Beach headset is designed for the xBox 360 it will work. The headset connection on the steering wheel is exactly the same as the standard 360 game controller.

  • I have a turtle beach and when i plug it in to the steering wheel you can talk and people will hear you but you cant hear them so i had to set up them talking so that it came through tv sound which would still go in your headset

  • THANKS MAN!!! I live in a boat so I ain't got much room and they realy are a pig to play coz they always move around the floor so this is perfect chers.

  • great job on the build.i might try one out myself.

  • wow, that is very nicely built, i like that you have all wires hidden, nice job.

  • lol i have exactly same chair, it sucks remove it@!!

  • The video was shot in my garage right after building it. The chair is a "garage" chair that just happened to be handy at the time. My son actually uses an office chair.

  • Why in the name of all that's holy did you not just hard mount the wheel and pedals utilizing the hard mount holes on the bottom of the wheel and pedals? You just have to remove the lap wings. There's no reason to drill through the lap wings, and the pedals invalidating your warranty.

  • I wish I knew that before I drilled it lol. That will be good info for anyone else who builds one. As far as warranty goes I think it is long expired. Thanks for the info.

  • SSSSSIIICCCKKKKK!!

  • It would be sick if you wrapped it in carbon fiber.

  • nice work bro i wish was like u =]

  • Gives me some ideas. I'm right in the designing phase of making my own kinda stand and I will probably add a Sub and some speakers to it as well. I'm gonna make mine more like an indycar!

  • that's pretty bad ass. nice craftsmanship.

  • Nice dude!! good job, You did such a great job that I would pay you to mount mine when i get it.

  • nice table design man. i just scrwed it onto my table lol

  • how long did this take to make cos im considering making one, im using a table at the minute but its far too messy and is not the right size.

  • I think it took about 3 or 4 hours but I was taking my time designing it etc... If someone was in a hurry they could probably build it in an hour or so minus glue dry time. Basic dimensions are posted below. Here is a link to a slightly different one I built:

    /watch?v=0rpEK95MStg&feature=related

  • thanks, ive bought the wood and iv made a quick drawing of what im making, all i need now is some large screws to hold the wheel.

  • Thanks for sharing!

  • very nicely done

  • This is the kind of setup I've been wanting to build. It's affordable and I commend you for sharing it with us. Can't wait to get started! I'll let you know how it turns out. Thanks again!

  • I have had several people message me about the basic dimensions so I thought I would post them. All dimensions are based on outside dimensions.

    Width - 22 inches or 56 centimeters

    Height - 25.5 inches or 65 centimeters

    Depth - 23 inches or 59 centimeters

(depth meaning from front to back)

These are basic dimensions which will fit most adults and children 12 or older. If you use an office chair with adjustable height it works very well. Message me if you have any further questions. Thanks.

  • Thanks for the insperation to go and build something like that, its so cool :)

  • You should open your own shop! Great work, smart ideas, and I like the hidden away electrics.

  • nice setup i like the way how u put all those wireds away

  • sir can you share dimensions by cm.i am wondering does it wobbles when ff is on?

  • It does not wobble at all with force feedback on. The material it is made of, MDF (medium density fiberboard) is heavy. It also helps that the weight of your feet tend to hold the unit steady as well. I will post a video soon of my son using his in game play soon so you can see it working with feedback on. Here is a short video of the other one I built:

    /watch?v=0rpEK95MStg

  • cheeres nice stand by the way

  • Thanks! :)

  • what do u use the foot stand for

  • I did consider that at first but after screwing and gluing all structural joints it is very stable. The front board that is attached at a 45 degree angle added a lot of strength.

  • Nice work. You might want to add L-brackets at the bottom if it wobbles side to side during gameplay.

  • If you have access to a drill and a table saw you can build it. I am not a carpenter but I like wood working. Message me if I can help in any way.

  • dam thats really good. no way in hell i cud built that though. u must be a carpenter.
