I had never watched this video before. After your recent 1000 video accomplishment I decided to go find it. You are the exact same lovely genuine woman you were in the beginning. Love you betty <3
@bettyskitchen I suppose its really cool that this all started off from a simple hobby, a husband, and a camera. Your more of a celebrity, I would love to go to your house for dinner, would be an amazing experience Im sure
@omfgplea Thanks for watching my first recipe! I haven't watched it since I made it--those early ones are pretty rough! Thanks for your sweet comment!
I just now got this comment. My comments have been messed up for the past week or so. I hope you got your kitchen remodeled and that you are ready to start fixing some snacks and meals. Just let me know if I can help you in any way! Thanks for your comment!
Another great video, Betty! And a scrumptious looking snack/meal..that would be a meal for me cuz I love simple quick meals being by myself, so I really dont have to cook full out unless I just want to,lol.
That was my *first* video, and my camera cut off after 3:00 minutes--so it's incomplete. I always meant to do it over, but I am glad to hear that you could follow the instructions. This is my favorite *quick* snack! Thanks for writing!
amazing....da problem is my country does not have all the wonderful ingredients for alot of your recipes but i substitute here and dre...its great to watch them after a long day of work!
Just watched a few of your videos, you do a great job! Are you still teaching math? What grades did/do you teach? I teach math as well...not so good at cooking yet but I"m working on it! I find that I like things to be so exact that it's hard for me when I don't know exactly how to cook something. Get kinda frustrated but I really do enjoy cooking, just need to learn a lot!
I am retired from teaching math at the university. That's why I have time to post all these recipes! Cooking has always been my hobby, so I have a lifetime of recipes that I have collected or created. If you're just starting out with cooking, I have all the basics you might want to make--plus many items for special occasions. Being a teacher, I explain them very thoroughly. I hope they will be helpful to you!!!
I think this is my most popular video. I just did this on a whim with a small video camera that cut me off after 3 minutes. I was *so* nervous doing that first one--me, after teaching math for 33 years!!! I had no intention of doing anything further, but people started responding to that first video, and I did a few more, and then decided to share all of my favorite recipes, plus the new ones I created. I really appreciate loyal viewers like you!!! Thanks so very much, Ben!
Hi Mike! I'm glad the nachos came out well! I'm happy that you were able to find a substitution that worked! You are very sweet to try some of my recipes and give me feedback. Thanks so very much!
I wear a lot of bodysuits for layering. I get them from Newport-News on the internet. The tops I layer them with are almost always sale items. There is a store called Gabriel Brothers in Lexington, KY and one in Cincinnati, OH, and they have "bag sales" occasionally during the summer. You get as many large bags as you can fill and they are only $10 a bag! Tops, jewelry, belts, jeans, everything! My daughter knows my tastes, so she goes to the sales and picks things for me. Thanks!
When we built this house, one of my top priorities was to have a big kitchen! You can see that I spend a lot of my time in it! Thanks for viewing and commenting!
Betty, you are great! I hate to use the term "junk food", but my goodness these snack ideas are...just great! You have given me great recipes and ideas for when I want something on that rainy day, or if I just feel like staying in and indulging! Keep up the good work!
Betty you have a wonderful way of demonstrating your recipes. Lots of patience and a great, calm and clear voice. Thanks for sharing All your recipes.
You can make nachos in lots of ways. I picked the quickest and easiest recipe to post. I may post another one with mainly flavored meat and cheese. Thanks for your comment!
I'm sorry to be so late in replying--I missed your question somehow. These need to cook in the oven about 10 to 15 minutes. You can tell when the cheese is melted and they are starting to brown a bit. Don't let them get too brown!
