  • holy shit, where does the yellow cable go?!?!

  • @BlazeThumb haha!

  • This was 2004, not their current set-up. Also, there were two compete equipment package and crews and three sets of iron.

We usually hired about 100 locals to help tear down and push the road cases to the semis. Not a "little set-up".

  • If you think this looks complex, have a look at U2's gear.....so much more than the little setup Metallica call a 'concert'.

  • The set-up is too complicated for local techs at the venue. All big shows carry their own techs. The video equipment and techs were supplied by a vendor. The audio system was supplied by a separate company. The mixer was a Metallica employee. Locals are hired to push the shipping cases to/from the semis and to pull cable under the direction of the crew members.

  • i would like to know how to connect all the cables and amps and the PA system

does Metallica have their own Techs? or they work with every tech venue ??

  • Where is the Metallica setup?

  • ahh and the guys with acces to the video recordings dam them free trade them please

  • That's AMAZING! The smell of flight cases and their colors is paradise for me! That's what I wanna do....

  • these guys make Metallica happen without these stagehands metallica would not exist!

  • Haha, of course they put the vidiots underneath the stage, now they might actually not be in the way

  • Gotta love video world!

  • as a rigger on American Airlines Arena , the 2009 Metallica Tour was one of the best jobs i did.

  • and the mixers are over off to the side, 2 people control it and theres 2 entrances, one of them is when we come in, and the other is when we need to washroo or change, and the shows usally last 2 hours, with 5 opining songs from one other band

  • our band plays at schools after hours, we set up the 4 speakers infront of the stage on the floor, the 2 monitors , the amps to the back, and the lighting (if the schools have it) up topl but i sureley gotta try that under the stage when we be a big band, and usally theres 200-350 people

  • Don't go putting amps under the stage unless you really know what you're doing.

  • we curently dont put the amps under the stage, we have then in the back so they wont interfere with the view

  • @nathanfornash umm those guys are professionals and probably have a eletrical techincian degree..

  • @progamerxt I am not talking about those guys. I am an IATSE member and have worked with metallica crew members many times. I was addressing a poster on this video who was inquiring in to putting amps under the stage.

  • @nathanfornash All I see is video control, where are the amp racks?

  • @trevticks Please read my comment below. I am not talking about this video, I was responding to another poster.

  • I Have To Say We HAve Set Up Backstage and Other Places But Never Under The Stage I Will HAve To Try That.

  • This is about as interesting as the inside of a 10c piece!!!!

  • These are the guys that make it happen

  • @Rodztar13 We seem to take them for granted. Metallica is a great portion of it, but without these guys it just wouldn't work. I thank them for their hard work!

  • cool

    i love metallica
