Laver Bariu is one of the biggest albanian musicians. And for the fortune of all us still alive and in good health. Lives in his glorious city , Permeti (soth of Albania) and is there respected as a living God of the clarinet. He has also a street of the city named in his honour. I am proud to say that i know him personally. Wish him the longest life ever!

No. Remzi Lela was the leader of the Lela family from Permeti. Laver and Remzi played together however, and also with Vaske Curri and others.

lol thanks. I take it you don't know Laver Bariu. In case you don't know...He's a very famous legendary multi-instrumentist. Played in the movie that told the story of Albania, about the warrior Skenderbeg. Laver Bariu is an icon in the Albanian community.

and sorry to say that very little about Albanian music is known in the Netherlands, but a trip on internet learned me a lot about not only a beautifull country but also about its music.
