  • Si pierdo la identidad, si no recuerdo de dónde vengo, tan sólo recurro a los maestros, tan sólo me sumerjo en los destellos de sonido que ellos nos han legado.

  • My fav band of all time!

  • i love how david j plays bass

  • Peter is... oh my god. <3

  • I was at this gig....in the balcony stage right....in the white shirt, if you must know. It was fab!

  • @jossdennis What year was this?

  • saw 'm live a few days ago

he's got such a powerfull voice, exactly like the recorded stuff

and he's moving like this performer on stage

he was fucking rad!!! won free tickets fuck yea, even his solo material was pretty rad!

  • Crappy editing can't hide an incredible performance.

  • Bucket list of men you would have sex with before you die 1. Peeeeetttttttttttteeeeeee Murphy

  • What song was it in the begining of the video?

  • @koston502 It's called "Spirit".

  • @koston502 "spirit"

  • Well the gotham performance really can't compare. "spiritual fix" indeed.

    Flash of youth

  • Very lucky to have seen these guys all over the UK place in '81 and 82. Lyceum, Adelphi, Top Rank Brum and Brighton, Guildford, etc. Great and fantastic memories.

  • Noo this taks me back. Bauhaus were fukkin brilliant and Pete Murphy is a dude.

  • Wow, very creative guitar work....going on here..... love it

  • @viktorhat

    not for my children

  • Saw them at Smartbar in Chicago sometime in the 80s AWESOME today's music sucks!

  • Hard to be a Bauhaus loving goth teen these days....best song ever <3

  • Saw them in 1982 in Guildford Uk - still recovering... Exquisite!

  • If only nowadays music was a slight percentage of this...

  • this is exquisite. great song long live batcave. peter murphy is amazing... bauhaus we miss you <3

  • I surely do miss the eighties......love Peter Murphy!

  • pete-speed!!

  • These cats were so ahead of their time. Seriously.

  • 2:38 THUMBS UP FOR JACKET AND HAIR. goths looked so damn original back in the 80's. now? not really.

  • @SmoookeMyBooones Totally agree. They were Milli and Crazy Di btw - Bauhaus followers. I'm in very nostalgic Bauhaus frame of mind today as someone just pointed out it'll be 30 years tomorrow since I first saw them. 30 bloody years - gone in flash.

  • @SmoookeMyBooones

    Wooooooe

you sound like a macho-macho man

  • @SmoookeMyBooones only we weren't goths that's just a modern day tag that did not exist when I and my fellow disciples of Bauhaus followed this great band on tour

  • darkpunkrockwavepsychedelic...... all together... great song bauhaus!!!

  • darkpunkrockwavepsychedelic...... all together... great song bauhaus!!!

  • How awesome to be rolling about wildly on stage ,somersault here a little army crawl there, hang on the microphone stand, lay on your back legs over the head ,yep there we go, LMAO oh Peter ;D,that's entertainment.

  • Ûhm_aÑYöÑE_wÂnÑÁ_chåt_wïth_mê_ï_fêél_sÓ_lôñÊlY_tÒÐây▼

  • rock city nottm circa 1982/3

  • Good band back in the day.

  • Genius...lyrics, music, style. So much attitude, without all the overprocessed crap. "In my yearn for some cerebral fix" it seems that Peter Murphy foresaw my need for good music. But after 25 years of listening to this, I'm still waiting for something that compares. Don't think I'll find it

  • The main thing that's so great about Bauhaus was their complete lack of any boundary to anything. They were their own genre. Every song was a piece of art through an intense firestorm of exceptionally complicated and dominating percussion, guitar work that is an artwork in itself, the bass-driven melody, and Pete's vocals that are beyond words. There will never be another band like Bauhaus.

  • @murcielago06gt ...I sooo agree with you.....I would like to add that many mainstream people simply do "not get" bauhaus hence making bauhaus even more appealing to me.

  • I love how over it their fans look.

  • they used to be awesome live

  • @wipeityourself the head where the strings are wound looks like a fender but i can't say the body is a strat...but its a classic fender model for sure.

  • @MrHellokeven its a Fender Telecaster

  • Lucky enough to see them twice (should have been three, but the Old Vic gig got pulled after vandalism) Saw the at the Lyceum on the MASK tour. and they were awesome.

also saw them at the final Hammersmith Palais gig, but found them a diminished force.

  • LOVE HIS ENERGY!

  • Absolutely fooking mind blowing........The brits always seem to produce the best unique bands....where is todays bauhaus?

  • @pornop69

I agree, these are fucking brilliant.

If you are after a modern band, I'd say 'The Horrors' are heavily influenced by these. And I really do like them.

    But Bauhaus are truely amazing.

  • great video a master Peter M

  • Peter, can you STUFF your MONSTER DICK right in my MOUTH as my "holiday" PRESENT, please??!!!....

  • Muy buena rola.

  • This song is brilliant, can't stop listening to it

  • I wish I could dance like him in our times without being labeled a spaz.... ohh well *shakes around violently*

  • @zant741 That what being "Punk" is all about....doing what feels right and not caring what anyone thinks....so "dance like him" with pride.

  • @huysmanslabas umm... wtf? Bauhaus is post punk, aka. goth

  • @Vernunft84 I'm well aware of the genres and where Bauhaus fits. My comment was regarding the "attitude" and not the "music", per se. Anyone around in the era when Bauhaus emerged, knows that you had to take alot of ridicule and abuse for being "different", it was the same for those who were "Mods", and those into New Wave. This of course puts fans of Punk, Goth, New Wave, etc., in the same category when viewed by contemporary mainstream society.

  • brilliant!

  • Amazing... they are Musical Legends! one of my favorite songs from Bauhaus and i just love this video thank you!

  • only a true rockstar could bend over like that and not get a wedgy

  • Massive. Explosive drums.

  • zaaaaaaaaajebiste

  • @hetka1997 masz glosa chuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuujuuuuuuuuuuuu

  • unbelievable nothing more nothing less!!! one of the best groups ever!

  • opps Sam I meant thumbs up

  • Masters and Kings of Goth. Without a doubt. No M.Manson without Bauhaus.

Strange how Bauhaus depresses me, but makes me feel better at the same time.

"BORED! I can get bored..... In the flat field"

  • great!! had this album when it came out!!

  • energy passion artistic expressionism

  • reminds me of iggy pop, its awesome :D

  • i could get bored !!!!!!

  • the flat field is infinite till you reach the pyramids then whilst sitting there atop them we find our were we really R

  • Coloured lights are for Christmas trees - david j.

    Never a truer word spoke.

  • Much intensity in this song - powerful and deliciously melancolic - don't know why but Bauhaus has always been kind of an intimistic experience since I discovered them in the mid 80's ?

  • love Bauhaus. They are not performers, they are ARTISTS

  • @andrewneedsalawn Yeah. One of the few people to actually pronounce it right was my old German teacher. And that's because she teaches German. xD

  • powerfull!

  • @goneshootin22: I know what you mean. Whenever I wear my Bauhaus shirt I always get asked what Bauhaus (usually pronounced boo-house) is. xD

  • @KatTheZombie rofl, did someone ACTUALLY pronouce "boo house"?

    that's hilarious.

  • Is this the version offa "press the eject and give me the tap"???

    British music at its best!

    Luv it..

  • @MrPaZuZu666 I will rape you to prove to you that you are no savior.

  • I agree Bauhaus were amazing.

  • In the flat field I do get bored

    Replace with Picadilly whores

In my yearn for some cerebral fix

Transfer me to that solid plain

  • @petermurphreak

LMFAO!! Dont hold back Phreakman!! Tell us how you really feel!!

  • @talus007...I wanna BLOW his BIG/FAT CANDLE on Sunday when he'll be having a B-Day!!!... Wish you were turning "35" instead of "53" MY LORD 'cause in '92 you were stilll motherfuckingly GORGEOUS!!!....

  • @petermurphreak Speak for yourself because I will take him at 104..sexy is sexy....lol

  • @wipeityourself

Daniel always played Fenders, either Stratocasters or Telecasters, he seemed to prefer the Tele for awhile, though. Don't ask me how he got it to wine like that, I've been trying to figure that out for almost a year. I think he use a reverb or echo of some sort, along with overdrive and wah(since he always uses wah).

  • Bauhaus are the best

  • who else is this cool, really??

  • Nice bass

  • I saw these guys. Then I saw them as Love & Rockets. I really loved this, and we called them Batcave music, not Goth. We wore our hair very long, and messy & with tons of Aqunet X-strong! Those were the 80's! Bauhaus was GREAT!

  • @rockabillydj Back in the old days we did not call it Batcave music it was Post Punk or Gothrock. The music definition called Batcave is relative new in the scene (about 10 years) and is nothing more than play with the look of the old days. And Bauhaus never ever played in the Batcave Club.

  • @Eisregen123 >In 1982-1984, we did call it Batcave music. I even got a tattoo of a bat, on my back. I am 49 yrs old, and never saw Bauhaus, nor did I ever see them in the UK, but I did see them in the USA, as Love & Rockets, & Tones On Tail. I do not recall why we called Goth music Batcave music, but it may have been because of bands like Alien Sex Fiend & Specimen etc. I never recall calling it Goth, that term I first heard in the 90's.

  • @rockabillydj And we in europe called it Post Punk or in the case of Bauhaus Gothrock, because of the dark and broody sound. I saw them very often back in their good days, but i never saw them as Love&Rockets.

  • I saw a dude with the Bauhaus shirt the other day at the local dollar store. I had never seen anyone with any post punk/goth merchandise before. What was really cool was that he looked like a normal 30 something year old dude, but he just happened to be wearing a Bauhaus shirt. It was cool lol

  • @goneshootin22 Once I saw a black hipster guy wearing a Bauhaus shirt at Kroger. It was hilarious.

  • @Mechanecro lmao nice man. I would kill to see that.

  • amazing video, it lash the blood ! first and BEST memory of post-punk 80's gothic music.

  • "fuking badass!!!"

  • Bauhaus Carajo!!!

  • what dvd his this please

  • Very Very Very GooD love this!

  • fucking superb

  • @ozrics62 better than smak and coke in the same syringe

  • i saw them back to the1983 in Athens and they were so beautiful like dark angels, great band, great memories

  • MIS IDOLOS LOS MEJORES NO HAY DUDA

  • MAGISTRAL LOS MEJORE LEYENDA

  • QUE PEDOP HE

  • HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • LOS MEJORES

  • I loved this band in High School, back when we wore trenchcoats, before Columbine. And i'm rediscovering this gem of a band now late in college

  • CLASSIc!

  • is this from a live show?

  • Yea, it's live from "The Old Vic" in London.

  • @00000thatoneguy00000 amazing.. they sound so good live . even better than the album versions.

  • Agreeed man. I'm just so sad that being born in the 90's all I can do is watch these... ): I'll never get the full experience.

  • @00000thatoneguy00000 one day imma start a true goth band and bring this music back to life.

  • Me too. I live in the Midwest, and the entire Goth scene is dead here. There's ONE Indiana deathrock band, called "Turn Pale," and they don't even play live anymore. There are no Goth clubs in the whole state, or Goth events even near the area.

  • @00000thatoneguy00000 but yeah, i was born in the 90s too. born too late as the goth scene isall but dead. but hopefully thatll change.

  • I embody the heat of hell every time I taste these hertz.

My nails and armpits' hair start to grow very loooooooooooong !

  • I identify with the mood behind most of the Bauhaus' music. I just don't follow the lyrics. I'm not missing anything, am I?

  • @christsbitch yes you are my friend yes you are

  • @christsbitch not are all,"the mood behind Bauhaus' Music" its just GREAT!!!!!

  • U probably are.... No offence though.. It took me a while to see behind the words.. Many years in some cases............ Bauhaus is Transcendental in Nature :) Peter murphy is a Lyrical Genius ..............

  • I like this beat.

  • One of the VERY BEST Live bands EVER!

    David J RULES!

  • best version of in that flat field with the best possible vocals!BAUHAUS is an outstanding group!

  • @elizium777 Yea they sure are Awesome!

  • @elizium777 just brilliant ... what more can i say ...... JACKPOT

  • god i wish i could expireince this like you elder goths. i just dicoverd the music lke last year and im deeply in love with it. sadly there is no goth scene here in th e bible belt south :(

  • @JacobDeadman

You'll just have to make your own then :)

  • @JacobDeadman I also live in the bible belt and did so while in the heyday of the scene ,you just have to go where the people are even if it is two hours away, like i did, justloving the music alone can be enough but now you can meet people on the other side of the world who also love this music, i did not have internet in 1987-88, like you do now,be gtrateful.

  • espectacular tema desde buenos aires ...arg, cri y dai

  • welcome to indiana

  • All us old Goths should start a website! "Goths re-united"! We could all arrange to meet up and go to some of the 80's goth re-union concerts. I feel old when i watch stuff like this and bauhaus, the cult etc! Let's live again before it's too late!

  • @petermurphreak

for darkness sake have some class

  • the guitar sound and the bassline are fuckin amazing

  • it really doesnt get any better than this totally fantastic, best gig i ever went to was bauhaus aylesbury 83

  • It's the whole experience of the gig that's good. Loads of white spotlights and shadow. Pete Murphy used to cavort with a flouescent tube as well. Bumbling bass and razorblade guitars. Fantastic.

  • el mejor tema de Bauhaus...

  • i love this video

  • What makes this song so strong is the bassline. BAUHAUS....one of a kind. One of my all-time favorite songs...

  • awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Siouxsie does. And so does Björk.

  • They don't make music like this anymore. So unique and full of passion.

  • @GitarooMan832 what is there to say...people run out of good ideas...

  • @GitarooMan832 Nonsense! Have you listened to The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart or The Blanche Hudson Weekend.

  • @BPCpresents Those bands aren't bad, but I wouldn't call them unique by any means. They sound like the post-punk and shoegaze bands from almost 30 years ago. I think Bauhaus were one of the last true pioneering bands. Everything they did oozed originality and a style that was all their own.

  • @GitarooMan832 if you don't think music this good is made anymore, you sure aren't looking very hard.

  • Damn...I LOVE IT!!!

  • Brilliant performance, great song. One of the greatest, no doubt. They were so good and Peter still is. Went to his concert a few days ago :)

  • Comment removed

  • Possibly my favorite song ever.

    This band changed my life.

    And I love Peter.

  • A mi me encantaban......

  • Que tiempos .....aquellos,si señor

  • Teeeoooone!!!!

Fuck goth, fuck labeling. A good tune is a good tune wherever you find it and this is a corker.

  • paurosamente devastanti...

  • this is my shite son
