  • allah ka Oumou balo

  • oumou sanare looks like a queen

  • OUMOU SANGARE!!!

  • I saw her yesterday in a Festival in Italy. She and the band were great, full of african energy. Everybody was dancing !

She's a talent, so elegant and rich of poetry.

  • Seya jkife ! Oumou tu reprèsentes la musique maliene bravo continu & très bell chanson en bambara

  • The beauty - the overpowering appeal - of Oumou Sangare is that she is a natural virtuoso performer. I have a constant sense of awe for her folkloric élan in her performances: I remember the chanteurs, the griots and the poets of old in all cultures and the simple, graceful ways they traditionally made their delivery. Such flair is no longer there in even some of the most distinguished African music cultures, where musicians have made undignified crossovers to Western modes of performance.

  • well said.

  • @outreachat ; well said

  • Una maravilla .

Un fuerte saludo desde Canarias y de la Marcha Mundial por la Paz y la No-Violencia.

  • nice and mellow african song. i love it. and i love her smile. the sound of mali is beautiful. do they speak Swahili there, iam not sure, i hope its not an ignorant question

  • I believe she sings in Wassoulou which is similar to Bambara. All her cds kill, but I always go back to 'Ko Sira' and 'Moussolou'. She is the GREATEST SINGER ALIVE.

  • oh thank you so very much. its very helpful information. i didnt know that there were so many different languages/dialects. thanks again and i will definitely try the other songs you were talking about
