I started running and riding as a kid with my Dad and still love to ride and race. I actually road 40 yesterday and 32 today.

He loves being out doors, hiking, camping, mountain biking so we try to mix it up and keep it fun, but I agree that a child can get burnt out of anything from Chess to Violin so moderation is key.

His older brothers have not taken to riding and were never forced to. I guess your concern can apply to any youth sport from Hockey to Baseball.

This kid is the real deal I have seen him ride. A brushless motor like bionix is obvious because it's on the rear hub with a heavy battery on the frame.
