My brother got to hear these guys out in Seattle in a park. The drummer's house was across the street and they suddenly came on the PA. He was on a 3 month moped journey across America and he says it was one on the best days of the trip. He called me when it happened and I screamed like a girl out of jealousy, having loved these guys since 14 and getting him into most of their music. This is the band people will remember when we look back before music killed by shitty fads.

aw man this song was the best when i was 17. great band. on an older song like this, they maintain a certain rustic recording qualiy that i think suits the band well. by the time the album with two hands shaking on it came out, that recording sound was gone. anyway, great band. are they still this good? i guess i could go listen and find out. however, it's not the same as being 17 and suddenly discovering modest mouse. i can never get that back. isaac brock: virtuouso lyricist.

@TheSarahFishers If you're referring to The Moon & Antarctica you should really listen to it. It's my favourite Modest Mouse album. The lo-fi sound does suite MM quite well but their later stuff is still phenomenal, even though their latest album is my least favourite. Seriously, just listen to 3rd Planet, guarantee you'll be hooked. That song is incredible, just like this band. I honestly consider these the best band of the past 15 years.
