Actually, it's more of a Maine Coon thing. They are very intelligent and most of them can successfully mimic bird calls. My Maine Coon is very adept at it and has lured and caught several birds. No worries, they were not harmed and set free. So try to listen carefully and you will hear the birds' calls. Not all of the calls are vocal, some are done with their "purr" and sound more like a pigeon coo, they are very deep but birds hear them fine.
