Very well said. I prefer rock over anything but I totally agree with you. The original is amazing, as well as this. Neither is better than the other even though I do like this version best. Both are unbelievably amazing!

This could NEVER be better than the original, simply because it is an entirely different type of sound to it. This is rock/pop vs. piano.

However, the singer has a more generic panic at the disco/fallout boy sound to this voice. Vanessa Carlton's voice is unique. She also has more expression in her voice.

For anyone to say this is better, is insulting Vanessa and the song itself.

For anyone to LIKE this better, that's fine, if rock is your preference.
