  • The beacon on top of the turret, is that device put in place when your in a convey to and from maneuvers? I've never seen photos or video of this item in place, which is why I ask. Also I'm aware of a convey marker light on the rear of the tank, is that used only in black out conditions so that you see only the small marker light of the tank in front of you?

  • A Car with built in rideaway!!!!!!

  • Też tak chce. Wogule to zazdroszcze wam takich czołgów.

Ik mocht ooit de rotonde in Steenwijk 'afkorten'.. Van Havelte naar Steenwijk.

Openbare weg rijden was altijd leuk. Heb 2 jaar bij 101 gezeten en had een toptijd..

  • This vid is awesome, I wish I get to drive a tank around town.

  • Back in the day I drove a tank all over Germany during the Cold War it didn't matter. Boy did I tear some stuff up. REFORGER did millions in manuever damage.

  • netherlands belong to germany now. as far as to the narrow streets ;o)

  • dude is dat in nederland??

  • 42 TKBAT B-ESK 3 echo tank. Havelte 1992

    Killerlichting.

  • Behind the Leopard tanks is driving a dude from the army, and he is writing down anny damage the tanks make.

We did this practice also when i served the Dutch army, they have to get to there object, which they have to protect during wartime.

The drivers are told to do easy in the corners, and watch the sidewalks.

    LOL.

  • Correct Kollee, where did you serve? 44th?

  • @DJMeesters

    44ste is een pantserinfanterie groep:D

  • @DJMeesters 42 TK Bat Bravo Eskadron in Havelte.

  • I don't see the problem. A leopard should be able to take those "obstacles" with full speed I guess. Too bad for the pavement but who cares.

  • Thats the right vehicle to drive into the discothek at saturday evening...

  • @Tecnotrucker80

    hahahahaha yes thats rigth :D

  • just a cruise thru town checking out the ladies !!!

  • @gOtze1337 true....

  • but what you can do if someone of these beast is in front of you, nothing just look.

  • the are always driving in a convoy !

  • what were they doing? driving license? patrolling?

  • they dont normally let tanks on streets because of...

    A) as you can see it takes up space.

and B) it tears up streets

  • C) It is fun to do!

  • @DJMeesters D) it scares the shit out of ppl

  • you can add rubber to the tracks so they dont eat up the raod

  • @bowlingwithzombies

A)when was the last time someone was killed in a crash in a tank?

B)now you got sumthing to deal with them fuckers that keep taking your parking space!

C)no one will be robbing your ass anymore!

    D)its spacous =D

E)i guaranteed cars tear up the road more than a tank would

    F)its fun as fuck

G)no one can top 2inches of steel!

    H)...and did i mention its a tank?

just like they say, family guy: any problem caused by a tank can be solved by a tank

  • @DragonsREpic

I It has plenty of room for shopping aswell...

    J It also attracts women.

  • @Vosbraka lol, and list goes on XD

  • @bowlingwithzombies Supposedly, They shouldn't tear down streets hence the rubber pads on their tracks?

  • @bowlingwithzombies They most likely have rubber street tracks on. Keeps them from crushing curbs and gouging asphalt.

  • Heb je nog meer filmpjes van de leopard?

    Vindt ze geweldig :D

  • Uhhh... jawel... maar deze 3 zijn wel de leuksten denk ik... sorry

  • Dat kunnen we wel

  • fresse

  • put a huge engine in them? just burn through the building lol! the only place I can think where tanks wouldnf fit down the streets is italy, no tank is immune to AT landmines because they blow the tracks, and no tracks can resist a landmine or two. most modern tanks were built for the cold war so ofcourse their airtight radiation proof and have remote machine guns, all do their all great and prettymuch equel so stop trying to make one sound SOOO much better than the others, its stupid

  • lol why are you comparing tanks? their all prettymuch the same. what the hell do you mean american tanks are not agile... theres a fucking jet engine inside them. I have literally seen one drift around a corner their amazing and so are the leopards, but you make it sound like its the only tank that can do that. the american tanks were built to deflect landmines, radiation and so on. and why have the tank small if your gonna

  • agile refers 2 how fast they can turn and acel, stuff like that....not top speed, u put 50 jet engines into a single tank and turn them all on at once and u'll get no agility at all lol, the speed would prob crash through any iraqi ct in less then 2 seconds tho

  • I know what agility is. the leopard and the Abrams both take turns like a formula 1 car.....I'm sure a jet engine helps in the acceleration, and the massive brakes and heavy duty transmissions hooked up to that engind make it easy for the tracks to turn opposite of eachother and force the whole tjhing to turn which is how tanks move.. the jet engine control's all of that if you threw a normal engine in there its steering response, acel and other factors would be slower.

  • the jet engine is not like a jet fighter engine if thats what your thinking of, it operates differently but is a jet engine controlling the transmissions and the mobility of the tank. you accelerate and slam one of the tracks into reverse or hit the brakes while the other one is going and how they turn so fast. (ever driven an argo b4? same deal) its all made to keep up with the stresses of the engine . so in other tanks they have to slow to take turns and acel etc,

  • but with the jet engine the harder it can push the transmo, the brakes, and the gearbox aswell as the tracks the faster it can accelerate, turn and brake.

as the power is being pout into the ground vs the frame.

so you see a bigger stronger engine that has the capability to go much faster the better it will operate because a weaker engine wouldnt be able to force the tracks to turn aswell and dig into the ground see my point?

  • what your thinking of is like putting a V12 in a honda, you'll break a land speed record lol but wouldnt have any control in steering, but a tank moves much different the engine eccelerates and slows each track to make it turn. like the left track will be going 20mph and the right 40mph that would make it steer left. so the bigger the engine the more agility, power and control it has aslong as the rest can keep up but they dont overlook the other parts when making them.

    lol enjoy the lecture?

  • that in a face to face battle the German tanks would destroy the allied tanks and they'd rather be in the Panzer than the Sherman... but we had better radios and TACTICS than you thats why you lost... dude read a fuckin book child...what you said is totally opposite of what actually happened.

  • Hahaha.. your only advantage in WWII was your sheer mass. When you came to europe our industries were already fucked and we lacked ressources, especially fuel, rubber and specialized metals. But we fucked up, it's just done.

  • In WW2 the german tanks were absolutely weak in armor or gunnery, but we had radios in our tanks so we could use taktiks, every other nation had to use standart taktiks that could be run out by us germans. by the way: the radios were bougt before war in the USA.

  • AND WHAT THE HELL are you talkin German WW2 tanks were weak? wtf?! the Tigers and Panzers were huge monolithic examples of armour and power! no tank stood up to them!

the allies only won by superior numbers, more units being made per day and yours were way too complicated and built by prisoners... the allies used Radios too everyone did.. and the allies had better TACTICS so they won but if you talk to ANY veteran ww2 tank commander he'll tell you

  • Vince, strangely your Profile states that you are living in Canada. Did you migrate from the US?

  • Yes, they have tanks. And did you know your country uses those tanks?

What? You guys can't make your own? German Engineering too good to pass up?

Get over it dickweed, the war ended over 60 years ago.

  • yes we have tanks and the best tanks in the world

  • in ww2 we had the best tanks like the panther, too,but we hadn't many, the others had very many small tanks.

  • Even so, one could argue that the T34 was the best tank in WWII. It had great firepower, armor and due to its simplicity it also was easier and ceaper to build and maintain.

German tanks like the panther were to complicated to be practical in an ongoing war.

  • did you look at the license plates of the cars on the side? they were yellow with black numbers/letters. german plates are white with black numbers, so that was not in germany. (but yes, we have tanks, still the best in world). that was probably in the netherlands, they have yellow plates with black numbers and letters

  • at first it is Germans. and the germans are allowed to have tanks since, whats it? 1955?? and why now? the Leopard 2 is the best in the world, it was never forbidden for germany to have tanks. because the allies knew that the germans would bring the BEST technologhy because german rules

  • It's in holland and those are propably dutch tanks;). The dutch have the leopard 2 aswell. But still, german tanks rock ;)

  • thank you ;) it depends on whether this tanks are produced in germany or produced in holland in license. IT THINK the dutch people got such a fucking nice taste for tanks and weapons. awesome guys a good army is an army which says: THAT TANK is the best, although its not produced in their country or designed. sorry my english is not the best

  • actually the challenger 2 tank is the best as it is combat proven.. leopard 2 needs to be proven in combat yet

  • Kosovo

  • jeblo te kosovo

  • @Fabscher19 ja, du hast recht :D

die Deutsche volk sind sehr intelligent!

  • KING OF THE ROAD

  • Watch out Poland, they're mobile again ;)

  • Eh? just what exactly do you mean? poland uses Leo-2's as well, you know :P

  • I think you'll find the Poles had tanks in 1939 as well. Didn't do them much good did it? :P :P

  • Im sure the public works was real pleased they had to re cement the curbs...lol

  • Een beetje smal daar in Damwoude...

  • this is the reason why we want bigger streets in The Netherlands;)

  • Lol, nice!

  • MADE IN GERMANY

    BEST TO KILL

  • Did those tanks have a pace car in the front to warn others ahead?

Here in the states, if any vehicle is wider than the lane, or carrying a load that is wider than the lane or road, must have a pace vehicle in front of it, equipped with yellow stobes.

  • We did have MP driving in front and behind us. ;-)

  • Same in Taiwan as has a pace vehicle in front of the convey, and a same vehicle at rear. In fact, unless absolutely necessary, MBT doesn't go through suburbs area, whether in peace time or at war. Too dangerous for itself and/or others.

  • Not a big idea to drive such a wide & huge MBT in town. It's for battling in wide open country side. A smaller wheeled AFV is for this sort of job, isn't it?

  • I guess they drove to the shooting range or something.

  • nederlands

  • wtf thats not iraq

  • duhh.... read below ;)

  • ohh man....they need bigger streets in netherland but nicccce vid 5*****

  • Curb mounting ftw!

  • It is'nt a deployment, this was a training. Train as you fight they said to us :-D

  • why are they driving tanks on public roads? doesnt seem like a deployment

  • Vet! Gaaf die opnames!

  • Nice

  • lol nice! those curbs looked better before you drove on them lol
