Can't believe Ruth got voted out, yet Diana and Eoghan survived. Ruth has more passion, charisma, emotion and intensity than those two combined together. And her voice is absolutely amazing - when she sings, it comes from the heart, and I think that is very important for a singer. I really hope she brings out an album. Thanks and I'm sure they do, actually. BUT - you can see my point? Ruth would have been at a disadvantage in the "conventional" afterworld of the X Factor. She's not conventional, she has an incredible Rock voice, not a Diva as such, like some of the others. The show has given a great oomph to her career, and at least we've all heard of her now. A helluva lot of us now can't wait for her to get out there and kick ass, without the constraints! I'm a huge fan, as most people here commenting are!

This year's X Factor has been a complete fiasco. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was led to believe it's a TALENT competition? Despite appalling voting atrocities, talented individuals leaving right left & centre, I stuck with it because Ruth is bloody amazing. Breath of fresh air, different, incredible voice, passionate performer, lovely person, already helping others out in charitable ways. I don't suppose anyone cares, but I've given up with the show, & will wait for Ruth to hit the world!!!

I don't think it's an issue of race, it's the demographic voting on the x-factor, which has a lot of very young viewers. Unfortunately the people who vote for talent like Ruth's are always going to be outvoted by the kids voting tens of times for people like Eoghan and JLS. She also suffers from the lack of a regional vote. Disappointed to see her go, hope Alex can win and restore some sort of faith in this show.
