  • The original is Fragma - Everytime You Need Me

  • We all know that most of DJ Mystik's songs weren't his originals, nor did he ever claim that he wrote or produced them. He simply mixed them, which is what a DJ does. Either way, he's obviously got good taste.

  • your a damm idiot if you can't tell the difference, lol song was only made way cooler..

  • M W A H Z .

  • From what i know dj mystik made 36 albums?

  • Aye.. fantastic remix. :)

  • omg who cares who made it it sounds good so listen and enjoy it =)

  • @cepheus2121 you're a gimp!! It matters!! It's Fragma!!!!

  • @DanceDevilDj hataz do exist look in the mirror

  • great rmx

  • AWDracer is totally right. just back in the NAPSTER era days people didnt know he did that. btw a little fact, dj mystik and dj mystic are the same djs. During the Naptser era, the search term "MYSTIK" was blocked, so people decided to rename their mp3 files to "DJ MYSTIC" so people could still download songs.

    those good ol' napster days

  • Yeah, BIG confusion.

I'm not sure why Napster blocked that search term but if I were to take a guess, perhaps maybe they were aware of him stealing songs? But that makes no sense. Why would they care?

    I dunno.

  • u'ra eFing Tool captin think you"re eFfin cool cause you know a stupid piece of trivia that nearly ALL! electronic music enthusiasts know since bout ten years ago, lame-0

  • Also, when a remixer remixes a song, they'll indicate which song they remixed it as.

DJ Mystik in this case is saying he produced the song when he put "DJ Mystik - Everytime You Need Me".

IF, and this is a big IF, he did remix this song, the format should be:

Fragma - Everytime You Need Me (DJ Mystik Remix).

    Does this make sense?

But I used to listen to "DJ Mystik"... and until I got a lot more knowledgable, he steals songs and relabels as his own, just like he did for this song.

  • Yea I know what you mean. He does take alot of songs. I was just proving a point that he remixed it not produced it.

  • Yeah.

As long some people like you can understand the distinction, that's great. There are Mystik fans that cannot grasp this concept.

  • The confusion with the naming comes from him compiling mixes and only adding the song names on his cds. I've bought a lot of them. What he does is he leaves out the actual artist's name. People then label it on napster, limewire, etc. thinking it was his. I don't think he was deliberately trying to steal the song. There was just a misunderstanding of the way he wrote it on his mixed cds. He should have written the names of the artists which would have saved a lot of headache and confusion.

  • Yeah I can see why that would happen.

But by simply writing down the name of the song with no artist, he is implicitly saying that this song is his because there is no other name on it. Added to that, I really don't think he made an effort to correct this habit because there are LOTS of cds by him in that format. Now I highly doubt he "forgot" all the artists that he placed in; it's just not possible.

I'm sure he's badmouthed outside of YT and is a major reason why he stays underground.

  • i'm sure he didn't forget. I think he wanted to promote his mixes without having to deal with licensing issues from other artists. He mentions on his cds that they are promotional cds. I also think he did this to throw other djs off in order to be unique with his music selection. I believe he wanted to stay underground. That's why he used this tactic to begin with. When he realized he wanted to be bigger than DJ Mystik, he then produced as his real name, Tony Tran, under the Blutonium Label.

  • I'm in no way defending him , though. I'm just trying to understand his reasoning.

It is because of his lack of a proper tracklist that's created such a mess to begin with. Everybody thinks this guy made the songs and I get sick of seeing new "DJ Mystik" songs posted everyday. So what i do is inform them of the real name of tracks like you do. Hopefully we can get through to all of these people now that we know a little about the story behind DJ Mystik.

  • orig artist is actually Fragma

  • music 2 my soul

  • Look up Fragma - Everytime You Need Me.

This is NOT DJ Mystik's production.

  • Yea he didn't produce it but he "remixed" it. It sounds better than the original version.

  • Have you listened to the original version? What additions did he add into this song?

    This is the original version.

Wanna hear a remix? Listen to Above and Beyond's remix of this song.

As far as I'm concerned, there is NO REMIX in this song. This is THE ORIGINAL VERSION.
