Pretty cool! That thief(I would assume),what a dickhead! It would be nice if I could find it on iTune. That I could watch it whenever I want on my iPhone or my computer.
99% or more people in this wicked generations are like the phariccess and lawyers , they want the worldly lust of money, selfrighteous, evil, etc....drugs, money hungry.
this is actually one of the most important stories..because in this story it is the priests who leave the guy on the road..but the good samaritan (whos religion was never made known) helped just for the sake of helping
I find it pretty offensive to portary Jesus (A middle eastern Jew) as having blonde hair and blue eyes. This is what's commonly refered to as "white-washing". He probably looked a lot more like the arabic guy wearing the turban at the start of the clip.
I understand not wanting to offend people, but really; in the original dialog the Samaritan's mother told her son, "Promise me you won't talk to a single Jew." "Yes they do Caleb, all of them!" One totally misses the point when you lose the context. That's like cutting the N word or the whipping scene out of Roots because someone MIGHT get offended. You can't rewrite history. Still this is a great series of movies.
@FrenchVanilla32 Actually it does matter how he is depicted, Jesus could not have long hair as seen in 1 Corinthians 11.14 : "Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?"
This representation is just a lack of knowledge of the scriptures, it is just better to know that before showing all the characters in a story with long hair, when the Word tells us clearly it's a shame for men to have long hair.
@veeunbound the issue 1 Cor 11;14 is dealing with is homosexuality. At the time only homosexual prostitutes had long hair. It's basically like the Old Testament is when God tells the Jews not to cut the hair on the sides of their heads (IE don't be like your pagan neighbors). That said the only men who wore long hair in Israel were the Nazarites (like Samson & John the Baptist). But Jesus wasn't a Nazarite, because Nazarites couldn't drink wine or touch a dead body & Jesus did.
@Forysan ,the jews were living under the customs and moses mosaic laws at the times . and when jesus came his teachings from his father , ten commandments , jesus death, bureal , ressurection, true repents ,baptism of holy-ghost salvation and obey to end folowing our cross to end shall be saved, we must give all up and follow to end god and jesus to all , amen ....holy bible
@Forysan ,jesus fullfilled the law by his teachings we have to live by everday, death, burial , ressureaction-holiness.amen take care-holy bible keep all ten commandments, suffer and endure till end saved. i understand jesus came to fullfill not destroy the law, the religious hypocrites does this destroy the law and prays in school and jesus and god true teachings and god ten commandments they do because they follow the devil and he follow his evil wicked ways.
Actually, one of the only historical records that mentioned a physical description of Jesus (Josephus, a Jewish historian) does describe Jesus as having wavy hair to his shoulders, with bronze highlights because of the sun he was continually exposed to.
Josephus' comments on Jesus are for the most part historical, but some of his remarks do reflect a positive attitude toward Jesus as Messiah... so I do not think Josephus' physical description is in any way meant to descredit Him
Having said, I do agree that Jesus' physical characteristics are irrelevant, otherwhise the gospel writers would have taken the time to describe Him to us. I particularly like the spiritual depiction of Jesus in these videos... and whether they accurately portray Jesus' physical looks or not, we are still able to enjoy and benefit from the Spiritual lessons of the story...
@joanacl Hey thanks for the input, I was wondering about the homosexuality thing, so you just asked my question in a sense. Concerning Josephus' comments, I didn't know about them so you got me. And you sure a right about the spiritual lessons we can still benefit from. I just always think it degrading to our Lord that we would picture Him in such an illogical way, taking into account the verse in the Old Testament saying He didn't look like much. I forgot the reference sorry.
@AsG1989 Israelites just as their Phoenician neighbours (todays Lebanese) are known to be relatively fair-skinned (compared to most other Middle-Easterners) and it's not at all rare to see them having blue eyes, sometimes also fair hair. They share a lot in common with other Meditteraneans in terms of physical features. But either way, it's not Jesus human body that is worshipped, so his physical characteristics are a secondary issue...
I love these movies! My folks had all of the old and new testament when I was a kid. I really want to own them, but I am a poor college kid. So, I signed up for their video of the month club so that I will eventually get all of the old and new testament. But since I only get one per month, it doesn't cost me very much at once. Although I admit that it is really testing my patience. Every time I get a new one I can't wait until the next. I highly recommend these movies! God bless!
What kind of snaks is the Fat Guy eating? How much does it cost to join Nest Learning's Video of The Month Club? That sounds like an awesome club. Have a good weekend.
I want to, but I would encourage people to buy these online at Nest videos . com or something similar. I don't want to steal all there videos, I just put this one up to encourage people to buy them. :)
As I would like too, I need to have another DVD Ripper. This video was put up really just for people to buy these videos from NEST. There is a three package deal I got with a box of, "Worthy is the Lamb," "He is Risen," and "The Kingdom of Heaven." It may be a long while before I post another one. Thanks for watching though, And God be with you!
I'm probably talking about the song that goes with this video.
My hands are the Lord's hands. I mean....before I became a Christian, before I got saved, I was just going to church..not really doing anything, and my lifestyle was not representing Christ. So when I saw this video, I realized I had to do that. But...that's all I want to say right now. lol
I just love the movie so much. The Spirit speaks to me through it.
Oh sorry there was a question mark at the end of it. I ment to put an exlamtion point on it, and the comment above was for the Philos guy. Thanks for you input!
Come down from your arrogant and ignorant cloud. Even IF there was no God, these stories still have good morals every human, no matter who you are, should follow and live by
I love this too! It's so awesome! I saw this when I got saved. I realized then that I had to be like the Good Samaritan. Physically AND Spiritually. I love to show Jesus to people through my deeds and lifestyle. :D
